I honestly had the bulk of this show written by Wed of last week, but I ended up having the week from Hell for the latter half of the week and just ended up sleeping off a migraine I had for like three days straight until like Saturday evening. Sunday I had a bunch of family visiting randomly for dinner and yesterday (Monday) I was finally free to get the last bit of the show written up at work. Glad I didn't have to force you guys to wait like 2-3 weeks to read this one.
Thanks to those of you who gave me quick updates on your situations during the hurricane. For fellow SC and NC natives like myself, I'm glad to hear that all of you came out of that safely. Looks like we got another one coming up out of the Gulf coast by the end of the week, so I'll give updates if it's starting to look nasty this way again. That's why I'm going to hold off posting the next Primetime card until next week. That way I can see what this storm is going to do before I start setting the next set of deadlines.
UPCOMING CHANGES TO RESULTS
FYI The next Primetime episode (NOT this one) will be the last one before the Dead or Alive PPV.
After this PPV cycle concludes, I'm going to start a 4-6 match limit per Primetime cards, then leaving PPVs as "supershows" with 8-15 matches if necessary. If you're not booked on those cards, then you're going to be expected to send in segments/angles to contribute in some fashion.
A few of you contacted me asking details on how we are going to make the move to hybrid after the PPV. We're going to start off with roleplays NOT being required unless you're in a #1 contender match or championship match (defense/challenging). I'm telling you this now for EVERYONE to start thinking ahead as I'm going to eliminate the "guesswork" on handlers and myself wondering on what your character(s) are doing from card to card and whether or not if they are being booked period.
What does that mean, you ask? I want to focus on more story-base narratives while maintaining the competitive aspect for title matches. That means that you will be responsible for finding and establishing your own feuds and other members to work with. We have more than enough characters on the active roster for everyone to find someone to work with. In the unlikely outcome that you don't, then your character(s) will be a "floater" of sorts and will be required to do roleplays in the matches in the scenario that they are booked against someone else who doesn't have an established feud/storyline going.
Why this change? I want to give you all more control over what happens in your own character(s)'s undercard and title feuds while at the same time, eliminating all of the wondering of what am I going to do with your characters from show to show. Of course, all storylines will be approved by me of course as I would like to be kept in the know on what's going on and to prevent that there's nothing that someone else is already doing for we won't have overlapping/duplicate storylines/angles.
What this DOESN'T mean? It doesn't mean that you can just sit back on auto-pilot and collect titles. There's still going to be work to be done even if you're not booked on the cards or if your feud(s)/storyline(s) are all planned out. You're going to be expected to still contribute to your various feuds/angles from card to card.
- Opening Segment w/ Mary's decision on the outcome of the controversy in the main event of the previous broadcast
Thanks to senorvinnie The Bradley Clan The Legendary Doombringer and ❤Knightmare INC for helping me out with that collaboration segment. ❤Knightmare INC's addition to the match was something I thought about since the end of the last set of results and I reached out to get her to pull something together to get the Tag champs involved here. I hope she doesn't mind that I used them to cause mischief across the board during the rest of the show.
- Television Championship Match - Mike Bradley def. Equinox (c) via disqualification
The Bradley Clan helped with the collaboration segment that opened the show. I stand to be corrected but I didn't see a separate roleplay for this match from neither him nor KingOfHighSpots. I took Mike's contributions in the opening segment into consideration and awarded him the win via DQ since neither handler did a match roleplay here.
I didn't see Nox's tweets until after I finished my outlines for this show about his current battle with depression though. Hope you're holding up in a better place mentally. BTW happy belated birthday.
- Kendall Knight calls out Genesis?
Segment that ❤Knightmare INC requested to book for the show and she sent in.
- Samuel Chatman def. Ryan Kendrick
Squall Leonhart contacted me looking for research on his opponent, but I didn't see him post anything before the deadline. Samuel sent in a segment for his match you saw here between flights of his travels with the US military as of late.
- Women's Championship Match - Talia Areano def. Vi Malkov (c) to become the NEW Women's Champion
Vi. was aware of the deadline(s) for the show, but was feeling the end of her rope with this character as she couldn't get into the right mindset to write something. In the DM she sent me, Vi thanks GZWA for the experience here and being part of so many great matches with the talent here. For now, she's putting Vi on the bench, but promises to come back once she has something for this character again.
In that regard, I thank Vi for helping us out here as long as she did as the Queen of Queens Champion up until Reinas Tres and then capturing the Women's title after that. I'm happy to see Talia get this moment to shine. I've seen her work improve over time, not just here but across the other various feds she's in. I know she's going to carry and represent the Women's Championship with pride. Congratulations, Talia Areano. You deserve it.
- Fatal 4 Way Match - Sarah Richardson def. Katie Steele, Rose Cortez, and Laura Jackson
Simply put, I wrote this match in a manner to continue playing up Sarah and Katie's rivalry that started from their first encounter. Both of which are sarahrichardson's characters, which I have no issue with those of you feuding with yourselves. ❤Rose❤ and Sarah were the only ones who did roleplays for this match, so I made sure Rose didn't get pinned in the finish, while simultaneously giving her a new feud (if the handlers wish to go in that direction) with Laura Jackson.
**Edit: Correction, Laura Jackson did post a roleplay so I'm glad that she wasn't pinned here. I apologise for not noticing that until now.**
- #1 Contender's Match for the Women's Championship - Crystal Hilton def. Danielle Bradley
I saw sarahrichardson's roleplay for Crystal, but like the opening segment, I didn't see anything for Danielle's one-on-one match here. I wrote this one a little like a grudge match, just without all of the lawn furniture and nonsense involved. I wouldn't be surprised if you two are sick of these matches against these two too
- The Clique def. Mariah & Jaser Cruz
DΔShΞR ♡☈ɑ√əη and I pretty much have this whole storyline between our characters angled at this point, so I left majority of this up to ♡☈ɑ√əη and DΔShΞR to plan out. The Clique are able to bounce back from their loss against Knightmare INC from the last show while simultaneously showing how quick Jaser is to throw his sister to the wolves to get what he wants. Just another stop on the road to Mariah and Jaser's PPV match.
- Main Event: GZWA World Championship Match - Senor Vinnie (c) def. The Doombringer
Wanted to play up senorvinnie's reluctance to challenge The Legendary Doombringer here while at the same time, keeping them both established as powerhouses. Knightmare INC's run in at the end wasn't ❤Knightmare INC's idea, but mine as I wanted an excuse to get Vinnie to use the guitar to cheat his way into a win. I was going to end it with the other challengers running out too, but that would be more appropriate to end on the next Primetime as the cliffhanger to lead into the PPV.
