Primetime opens with both Jaser Cruz and Mariah sitting in the middle of the ring in two separate chairs as GZWA’s Lead Interviewer Adrianne Taylor stood between them with a microphone in hand.
Adrianne Taylor | Interviewer: “Welcome to tonight’s edition of GZWA Primetime, ladies and gentlemen. I was asked to get these two siblings - you know them as Jaser Cruz and Mariah respectively - into one spot here tonight and get them to talk about what’s really going on between them before they are forced to square off at Dead or Alive next month.
I could stand here all night and then some, listing the accolades and accomplishments of these two individuals, but tonight, that’s not what we’re here for. We’re here to insure that this family doesn’t fall apart. With that being said, I’m going to hand the floor over the two of you to talk this out. Who’s going to go first?”
Mariah spoke up, “The floor’s all yours, Jaser. It seems that you have a lot of issues with me as of late, so it’s appropriate that you finally just air out this dirty laundry and get it off your chest for we can finally squash this.”
Jaser Cruz raised his microphone up his lips.
“Look, Marisol. Despite what the rumor mill has been saying, I’m not out to hurt you - never was, never will. My main issue with you over the past couple years is feeling neglected. Like you don't even care about your siblings past Amanda. All the time, I hear about how great my oldest sister is, not from just you but from people in and out of this industry. If that’s not enough, you go on and on about your legacy and what you’re leaving behind for the generations to come and spreading love and inviting all the newbies to your house for guidance and cookies and that bullshit. That’s great. Fine. Whatever. What the problem really is, is that you bend backwards and sideways for strangers and you do all that and praise Amanda like she's your only blood in this family. I mean, would it kill you to take five seconds show me some appreciation and praise for what I’ve been busting my ass doing? Sure, I've missed d some opportunities to do more in the ring for other ventures, but I'm proud of what I've done. Or is it because it's in the reality TV world, it's beneath the great and legendary Cruuuuuuz Legacy, but somehow the public just fans crap your sister is running on twitter is fine. Obviously, Dad’s not around anymore, so outside of you and Amber there’s not many people I can look up to for that confidence boost y’know? I just feel like you treat me like Annie. I could tell you I love you and you just wave me off and go take a bath in a tub full of gin. Honestly, Amber feels the same way. She just didn't wanna tell you to ‘keep the peace’. Say what you want about Raven, but I see her as a sister more than you. Even though her and Amber didn't get along at first, she’s been there for me as long as I've known her with training, help, support, love - far more than you have. She even went out of her way to show up to my first few matches when I debuted in a new fed - where were you? But bringing it back around, I ain’t mad at you, Marisol. I’m just hurt and disappointed for all this big game you talk about love and support you cant even give it in your own home. So don’t think that im one of the many ‘friends’ you've made that just wanna stab you in the back and break you. I’m just out to prove that you and Amanda aren't the only ones in the fam who are talented in-ring performers. And seeing that you’re the oldest and so-called flag bearer for our family name, I see that going up against and beating you would give you no choice but to give me the props that I’ve BEEN due. And I was doing some digging and the record books shows that Amber has never beat you one on one and Amanda has only beat you in one of her crazy hardcore matches? Naaaah. I wanna do it clean - no tricks. Then, there won’t be no excuse that you won’t acknowledge how damn good I am.”
Mariah took a moment to digest everything that Jaser said before raising her microphone to her lips.
“Jaser, I’m sorry that you feel that I neglect you and Amber on purpose but that’s far from the truth. You weren’t around back when Amber, Amanda, and I were all in ZXWWF and I was carrying the truth about our father on my shoulders for all my life, allowing it fester like parasite and turn me into a horrible person back then. When push came to shove, I let the world - along with Amber and everyone else for that matter - know that I knew that Amanda was kin to our family all along. Amber never told you about how I referred to Amanda as a mistake and stain on our family’s name for the longest time. I wrongfully placed all of the blame about our family's issues on her solely when it was our father's infidelity that caused it. Amanda wasn’t the one who I should have been mad at, she was a victim in all of this just like the rest of us - even more so in her case after her mother died shortly after childbirth. Amanda was traded around like a toy that nobody wanted - it led her to drugs, gangs, and even landed her in jail for a while. She needed us - her family to show her a positive direction in life instead of a self-destructive one. It took Amanda knocking me to my senses - literally - to see that. Look at her now, she’s a wife and mother of her children. We don’t always see eye to eye, but she needed that positive encouragement more than we ever did.
Jaser, I’ve taken pleasure seeing you grow up into the man that you are today. You don’t need me to hold your hand and Amber’s made it painfully clear that she doesn’t want me breathing over her shoulder and babysitting her at every turn of her life. I’m not your mother and I never want to give that impression that I’m trying to dictate your lives.
I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m not perfect. I’ve made mistakes, including this oversight that I haven’t been there for you and Amber as much as I should have over the last few years. I was content with leaving you and Amber to your own devices as the last thing I want for you is to be eclipsed by the shadow of my own personal accomplishments in my wrestling career.”
She adds, “But if you feel that a match against me will justify and legitimize your own success, then be my guest. I would see it as a honor to share a ring with you. Just know that I’m not going to lay down for you nor am I going to take it easy on you. If you’re looking for an easy win, it won’t be from me. You’re going to have to earn it, little brother.”
Jaser hangs his head and laughs to himself a little “She said you'd run to that.”
Mariah looks on confused as Jaser continues “Yeah, so adding to one thing I said earlier: Raven's always been truthful with me. She told me all this information within months of me knowing her and here you are telling me this almost 10 years after it happened? And just yesterday, she told me that you'd use it as an excuse to slide by today. What, you couldn't multi-task? Marisol, I don't care about any of that. I don't care that Amanda was in gangs and on drugs and bounced around in foster homes and her life and all that. I didn't grow up with her, I grew up with you. Family dinners with you. Family vacations with you. Everything with you. Yet, you were never there. But the ring is where I KNOW I can count on you to be. So until then...”
Jaser drops the mic and stands up with his arms outstretched for a hug, showing Mariah a sign of good faith. He just stares at her waiting for her reaction.
Mariah walked over and gives Jaser a hug. Afterwards, she raised the microphone to her lips once more, smiling.
"When I last stepped into this ring against Raven, I told her that there's nothing that she can say to me or dig up about my past to hurt me.
I'm not perfect - everyone else seems to paint that picture about me, but when I look in the mirror I can see all of flaws staring right back at me. Everyday I attempt to be a better person than I was in the last. I know I wasn't there for you, but you know what? Communication is a two-way street.
When was the last time you called me? When was the last time you came to see me when you parading around on all of your celebrity travels? Not one time I got mad when I would look on Twitter seeing you posting photos sightseeing in NYC and not even bothering to shoot me a text or knock on my door to see if I was home, yet you're here, throwing it in my face that I'm never there for you. Okay, I'll take that punch to the gut without question if it's going to help you sleep well at night.
Just know when we're in this RING at Dead or Alive, I'm not giving you any hugs."
She batted him one more smile as she adds, "By the way, Mom said you're on yams for Thanksgiving.
I guess I could borrow a page out of her book and give you one bit of advice for our match:
'Será mejor que vengas bien porque voy por ese culo.'"
She drops her microphone and walks out of the ring, taking care to pat Jaser on the shoulder as she passed him by.
Singles Match
"Tattooed Beauty" Laura Jackson & “The Blonde Bombshell” Sarah Richardson vs. Rose Cortez (w/ Amanda Cortez) & “The Siren” Kate Steele
Prof. X: Sarah Richardson and Laura Jackson have been in bitter rivalries with Kate Steele and Rose Cortez respectively, which boiled down to them joining forces against their opposition here tonight.
The Carter: Yeah, Kate Steele has had it out for Sarah Richardson since the second she debuted the night that Sarah made her return to the company. Laura and Rose have reopened the old wounds from their days as part of the MisFits faction together. Seems like bad blood burning from both ends of that candle on that front.
Francine: This could end up being quite the slobberknocker given all of the women involved...
The match is about to start and both Laura Jackson and Rose Cortez are left wondering where are their respective tag team partners.
Prof. X: Speaking of those two ladies, where are they tonight?
Francine: Hold that thought, professor. Something’s going on backstage.
The cameras switch over to live backstage feed that shows Sarah Richardson and Kate Steele brawling in the locker rooms without any intent to coming out to the ring for this tag team match. Security is struggling to keep the women separated but failing horribly as the fighting spills out into the parking lot.
The cameras then switch back over to Zoey Valentine standing at ringside.
Zoey Valentine | Ring Announcer: GZWA Commissioner Serena Dent has decreed that this match will now take place as a singles match since neither Sarah Richardson nor Kate Steele are present to compete.
During this announcement, Amanda Cortez pulls at Laura Jackson’s heel as she stood on the ring apron looking back at Zoey Valentine. This foul tactic gave Rose the opportunity to Suplex her over the ropes and into the ring. Laura counters with a kick to Amanda’s face and shoulder blocks Rose away before Rose could take action. With Rose reeling backwards, the Tattooed Beauty launched herself into the ring with a Slingshot Diving Fame-Asser. To Laura’s surprise, Rose counters with a Spinebuster into the middle of the ring. From there, she wastes no time shifting into an application of the Figure Four Leg Lock.
Laura slides her body back, clearly refusing to submit to the hold. One would think that she’s going for a rope break but that’s far from the plan that the Tattooed Beauty has in mind. Instead, she reaches out of the ring and uses a handful of Amanda’s own hair to choke her onto the bottom rope. Rose found herself in emotional dilemma as she is forced to break the hold after she fearing for her wife’s safety. The referee then separates Laura and Amanda, allowing Rose to drag the Tattooed Beauty back towards the center of the ring. Rose then goes for a Standing Moonsault, only for Laura to put her knees up to counter.
Rose doubles over, allowing Laura to position her for the Tampa Driver (Cradle Piledriver) but Rose flips her over and pins her shoulders down into a bridging pin.
ONE…
TWO…
Amanda leverages Rose’s feet onto the ropes outside of the referee’s field of vision for Laura can’t kick out.
THREE!!!
After Rose is named the winner, Tattooed Beauty isn’t having any of this after she gets nowhere in her debate with the referee. Laura Jackson shoves the official aside and launched herself out of the ring with a Suicide Dive through the ropes into both Amanda and Rose celebrating their win. It does take Laura long to find and arm herself with a steel chair from underneath the ring. The Tattooed Beauty shows no remorse as she hammers both downed women with chair shots to the back. Laura decided that wasn’t enough and applies Rose’s own Ankle Lock on both women as they attempt to crawl away. Amanda and Rose are shown tapping out in unison as GZWA fades out on commercial break while security and the staff on hand attempts to separate them.
Primetime returns from commercial break with continued footage of the Mega Busters’ exploits following the last ReAction a few weeks ago.
Matthew sat on the edge of the couch attempting to fill in the gaps on this story in Psycho Sagus’ history.
“The way how I remember it is that there was this guy who Kevin rubbed the wrong way back in our ZXWWF days while he was a bit full of himself from the minor singles success he was riding high off of in the amateur hour days of our careers.
My dad was still mentoring us for the most part, but Kevin let his arrogance get the best of him back in those days. He picked a fight with someone clearly over his head, but managed to get one over on him. Of course that guy was pissed after that embarrassment. From that day on, he made Kevin his pet project to make his life a living hell at every opportunity. Kevin couldn’t shake that guy at all. At the airports, at the hotels, at every arena and even in gorilla following the matches, he took it personally to beat the living shit out of Kevin. Eventually management got involved and Kevin couldn’t run and hide anymore. Our hands were tied - me and my dad couldn’t help him out. He had had to nut up or shut up. Last Man Standing was the stipulation. They used everything on each other. This guy was was a machine - no matter what Kevin threw at him, he kept coming back for more. Eventually the fight led to the parking lot where Kevin tried to make his escape. He was running out of options.”
“Wait, hold up. Kevin killed a guy?” asks a very confused Alice after Matthew fills her and Ashleigh in Kevin’s fabled past with his newfound “pen pal”.
“I dunno. Maybe? I just know that dude wasn’t seen again for years after that Last Man Standing Match that they had back in ZXWWF. Kevin pulled a Hail Mary and left him in that limo to rot while he bailed out of that when the cars exploded in the parking lot. After the firefighters got the fires down, they said there was no sign of a body yet at the same time, there was no way that anyone was walking away from that explosion alive.”
Ashleigh chimes in, “So you guys were scared of the Enforcers when Kevin already had a near-death experience this guy? Sounds like you two were keeping me out of the loop on some of the batshit crazy stuff you were doing before I started tagging along onto these adventures.”
Matthew smirks, “Like you haven’t told Alice about that run you had when you first started where you were Xion’s adopted sister or something along of those lines.”
“HEY!! Mariah said it would’ve been great exposure at the time and got me a lot of TV time since I got to learn first hand with both of them while they were still heavily active at the time. It’s just not something I go around bragging to everyone about. It’s best that everyone forgot about that bit of trivia.”
Alice shook her head, “Enough about that and get back to the story. So there wasn’t a funeral or police investigation after what happened?”
Matthew shook his head, “Well, his opponent never answered the count of ten so Kevin was named the winner and no one really thought too much about it. Kevin was just happy that his nightmare was over. We left the company shortly after that since we got an offer to tour Japan with a promotion there. By the time we got back to the States, we got the news that Xion closed the company to open GZWA. We met Ashleigh around that time and the rest is history I suppose.”
Alice chimes in, “Did that guy have a name or you just don’t want to tell us?”
Matthew replied, “We never knew his real name, but he was always referred to as Kevin’s ‘nemesis’ so it was the name that stuck.”
Ashleigh sighed, “With Kevin gone, we have another problem though. The Mega Busters are collectively booked to face the Bradley Clan on the next Primetime in a tag team match.”
Alice shrugged, “What the problem? You can always let me wrestle in Kevin’s place.”
Matthew shook his head, “I appreciate that, but you know you haven’t wrestled since leaving GZWA and coming out of rehab. I wouldn’t feel right putting you in the line of fire like that. The Bradley Clan talk a lot of shit, but when they are focused they are formidable adversaries. They are hungry - they want all of the gold that they can put their hands on in GZWA.
We had a chance to work with them during that whole ‘rage against the Machine’ ordeal with the roster against Xion’s goon squad, but we never could see eye to eye, so we refused their offer to join their team of Superfriends. Mike has tunnel vision when it comes towards getting that World Title after he’s held the Television Championship more times than anyone else on the roster to date. Danielle Bradley is seeing nothing but red after Crystal Hilton stopped her from advancing towards the prize in Reinas Tres, while their spouses Jesse Bradley and Kris Williams don’t want to be left off the radar. They want to get their hands on the Tag Team Championships. They are going to come into this as serious as a heart attack.”
Alice laughed, “No offense taken. I get it - you have to bring your A game into this. And watch it with mentioning the heart stuff, you don’t want the Bradleys chewing your heads off about taking that lightly after what Mike went through.”
Ashleigh spoke up, “Matt, I got your back in this. We don’t know if Kevin’s even coming back in time for the match or if ever period. If you need me to pull my weight as part of this team, you can definitely count on me for this. I was ready to take on Danielle Bradley during Reinas if it came down to it back in February and I’m still ready to any so-called femme fatale of the Bradley Clan now.”
Matthew smiled back at his girlfriend, “Thanks babe. I think we might be able to pull a miracle off.”
Ashleigh smirked, “Might? If we use the next few weeks until the show to work on our combinations and in-ring chemistry, then the Bradleys won’t know what hit ‘em.”
Alice adds, “Just don’t go in overconfident. Arrogance is the Bradleys’ weakness and at the same time, their greatest weapon. I think you guys shouldn’t worry too much about Kevin though. I think he’ll come around in due time. I still want to slug him for upsetting my sister though…”
Matthew shrugs, “Yeah it sucks that Kevin just bailed, but the show must go on - with or without him. I have confidence that he won’t let us down. We’ve been through too much together to break up our time off something so trivial like this.”
Ashleigh sighed, "I'm inclined to agree. From as long I can remember hanging out with you guys, you've always had each other's backs. Whatever has Kevin spooked about this situation isn't going to keep him away when his best friend needs his help. Still doesn't excuse him for breaking up with your sis though, Alice."
Alice folds her arms, "Enough talk about my sister's love life, I've only got about a month to coach you two into fighting shape for this match."
Ashleigh joked, "What's the worst the Bradleys are going to do to us, call us a bunch of nerds who aren't serious about the business?"
The trio share a laugh as the scene fades to black.
Singles Match
“The Crown Prince” Samuel Chatman vs. Justin Lockhart (w/ “The Lone Rebel” Casey Angel; debut)
The Crown Prince attempted extended a hand to shake out of respect, but Justin Lockhart greeted him in a different way - a kick to the gut as the precursor to the Elevated DDT that followed afterwards. Lockhart posed for the crowd briefly before beckoning Samuel Chatman to his feet.
The waking Crown Jewel was met with series of Yes Kicks from Justin Lockhart. Casey Angel shouts, “YES!” after each strike while the live crowd in attendance replied with “NO!” in rebuttal. After the 6th strike, Samuel caught Justin’s leg in motion and rose back to his feet to perform a Deadlift Capture Suplex to counter. The Crown Prince then sought out to continue this transfer of momentum with a Standing Moonsault to follow-up but Justin Lockhart rolls out of harm’s way. Justin rolls out onto ring apron and climbs up the nearest corner post. He execute a picture perfect Top Rope Famouser as Samuel Chatman getting back up to his feet.
ONE…
TWO…
NO!!!
Samuel Chatman manages to get his shoulder up shortly after the two count, but Justin Lockhart wasn’t worried in the least. He dragged the Crown Prince to his feet in a Full Nelson as he looked to finish him off with the Lock Crusher (Miz's Skull Crushin’ Finale). To Lockhart’s dismay, Samuel Chatman prevents this from transpiring with a back elbow to the gut. He then turned the tables by countering with a Sitout Wheelbarrow Facebuster in response. With Lockhart down at his feet, Samuel promptly follows up with the Crown's Jewel (Shooting Star Press Pin). The Crown Prince hooks the leg after the impact, looking to get the win here.
The Carter: What’s going on? The referee isn’t counting?
Francine: I think we have Justin Lockhart’s newfound friends to blame for that…
The referee is shown not counting due to being distracted by Casey Angel on the ring apron. The Crown Prince releases his pin and opts to forcefully remove Angel off the ring apron, but he’s met with a Low Blow from behind. The Crown Prince drops to his knees, allowing Justin Lockhart to capitalize with a successful Lock Crusher. He makes the cover to steal this win right from under the Crown Prince’s nose.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE!!!
Francine: If that wasn’t enough of a wake-up call, I don’t know what is. Justin Lockhart has definitely turned to the dark side so to speak after aligning himself with his newfound friends.
The camera opens up to a huge mountain surrounded by dark storm clouds. But this wasn't any normal kind of mountain as it got closer to the top it split into three distinct points and if you didn't see the base of this mountain, you'd of sworn they were three different mountains. Each point had a different word engraved into it, starting with the left was the word "Retire", the middle point had the word "Primetime" and the final point had the initials, "RR." Below these words on each of them were different images carved into the rock. The one to the left, was an image of a house. The right had an image of the Queen of Queens championship. While the middle had an image of a wrestling ring. As the camera looks over these three points a voice come out over the view but it's easily recognizable.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "Three scenarios... Three RESULTS.... Three personal wars...One decision "
The camera slowly begins to zoom out from the points to see the base of the single mountain. Slowly it begins to zoom out more as we begin to see a path as Didgitz continues to speak.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "That is what awaits me after this segment. A huge undertaking, which I have to ask myself, am I up to the challenge? Do I have what it takes to take on these future paths after one decision? Can I survive a war like a tournament? Or will I fail at ever seeing a singles title? But, and it's a huge but, in order to get in the conversation, I have to make it through..."
The camera zoomed out to reveal the path leading up to the mountain, but now it showed a wide archway with a simple white banner over it. However, a single ravaged hound stood guard to the entrance. It growled it's teeth as foam and drool dripped from it's mouth.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "Talia Areano , probably one of the most insane wrestlers in the company right now."
The camera continues to zoom out before it finally catches the site of a woman wearing a black hoodie with it's hood up. Didgitz turns around towards the camera as she grins, her hands in the front hoodie pocket as she continues on.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "A tough fight in itself, but I still have to ask myself. Do I want this? Do I want the challenge set before me? Do I even dare? If I was honest, all I was thinking about is trying to get my record better. To just taking that one center path up to the top and not deviate from the path."
Didgitz turns around as he looked at the center point of the mountain. She knew regardless of what happened tonight, that point she was going to be climbing.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "If I wanted to stay that way, not deal with putting myself through the other two, all I have to do is walk away. Let Talia Areano think she can keep the title. I could even use that time to recover a bit more. And if I want to be at my best all I have to do is stay home, learn to fight another day."
Didgitz continues to look towards the center of the mountain as a crack of lightning and thunder is heard from the dark storm clouds above. It was menacing and not something for the faint of heart. Finally, Didgitz turns around, her head down as she looks at the ground. She’s like that a moment, not letting her emotions show, before a grin spreads on her face.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "But that's not who I am, is it?"
Didgitz looked towards the camera as the fire is lit in her eyes. Her grin increases all the more as another crackle of lightning is heard behind her from the sky.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "I don't know exactly how this came about, but perhaps this is exactly what I need. To make up for all the loss I gained over the past years in other feds. All in one fell swoop. But I won't be getting ahead of myself. After all, while what would come of this match is no easily feet. I will not be blind yet again by what's to come and forget exactly who it is I need to beat to get there. That's right, I'm talking about Talia Areano ."
The camera lowers down to the hound in that was guarding the entrance. It continued to growl and howl, knowing it's turf was about to be invaded.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "While maybe you don’t know me that much, Talia Areano, I’m still a vicious animal with an insane personality. But the truth of it all is what can I say to prove that I can be better than her? Our win/loss records and who we beat aren't exactly on the same level. I won't deny any of that. But what can I say? Even the very fact that this match, I have all to gain if I win, or all to lose if she wins. That already puts her in a far better mental state. So what can I say? The answer is nothing."
Didgitz nods as she shrugs her shoulders lightly. Yet that doesn't seem to change her mind, infact it only increases the fuel for her fire.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "But don't you see Talia Areano? That's what makes this promo all the better for me. I want the deck stacked against me. I want to fight overwhelming odds, sure it sounds foolish. Just like taking on insane matches if I could win, but I think you're forgetting just who I am GZWA. Sure, I've failed multiple times in the past. I lost when it mattered most and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. Win lose or draw, I'll be moving on to bigger and better things that’s for sure. But I've been presented with a great opportunity, to further cement myself in the history books. So you may think my past shows that I have what it takes, GZWA. But my past has helped refine me to who I am right now. I have the heart of a lion. Didgitz is fuckin back, and we're here to win."
Lighting flashed as Didgitz grinned. The camera slowly began to look past Didgitz and zoom in back to the three pointed mountain and the words attached to them.
DIDGITZ ( THE BOSS BITCH )- "Three scenarios... Three RESULTS.... Three personal wars...Time to show why I'm poppin!"
Thunder crackled in the sky as lightning struck yet again as the camera faded to black on the mountain.
Singles Match
The Grand Zabrina vs. “The Guru” Danielle Bradley
Francine: I’ve heard that Danielle Bradley’s been pretty fired up after that exchange of words following our last broadcast. She’s itching for a chance to change the perception of her following her string of losses as of late.
Prof. X: She’s got the opportunity to do so against The Grand Zabrina tonight.
Francine: Zabrina hasn’t been too grand lately following her performance at Riot Control earlier this year.
The Carter: I haven’t lost faith in her. Maybe tonight’s the night that her luck turns around for the better.
Prof. X: It’s not about luck. It’s more about whether or not her head’s fully in the game tonight. That’s going to be the question for both Zabrina and Danielle. The GZWA Nation knows that both of these women are very capable competitors but are they going to be focused enough to walk out of this contest the winner tonight?
The Guru fired up as soon as the opening bell sounds. She greets Zabrina with a series of rights, delayed briefly with a backflip before returning with a Clothesline to finish her combination. Zabrina cut her off with a Low Dropkick to the shin to bring Danielle down to her knees.
The Grand Zabrina hits the ropes and returns with a Zab Attack (Running Hip Attack) to the kneeling Guru. Danielle sprung up with a Forearm Smash to the spine to stop Zabrina in her tracks and follows up with a Release German Suplex to send Zabby crash landing in front of the corner. Danielle Bradley smashes Zabrina into the corner behind her with the Handspring Splash that came afterwards. Just when Zabrina thought that was the end of Danielle’s incoming offense, she’s hit head-on with the full force of the pending D-Train (Elijah Express). The Grand Zabrina fell face first into the canvas, allowing Danielle to roll her over and cover her in a pin.
ONE…
TWO…
THRE---WAIT???
Danielle Bradley raised Zabrina’s shoulder off the mat. The Guru wasn’t done with her quite yet.
Prof. X: That’s enough, dammit! She’s had this match won already!
Francine: I dunno. Danielle Bradley might be letting her anger get the best of her and this could prove to be a costly mistake.
The Guru climbs the top rope in preparation for the D-Bomb (Corkscrew Senton), but The Grand Zabrina senses the pending danger and vaults up to the top rope in hopes to prevent this maneuver. Zabrina hammers over Danielle’s shoulders with Double Axe Handle and underhooks her arms in preparation for Lancaster Grandeur (Double underhook facebuster / Pedigree) from the top rope. Danielle manages to power out out of the position and knocks the wind out of Zabby’s sails from her second wind with a thunderous headbutt. The Grand Zabrina fell back to the canvas below, allowing the Guru to hit the D-Bomb successfully. Danielle hooks her leg into another pin and counts along with the referee.

Primetime returns from commercial break within the confines of the Interim Chairwoman’s office. She stands behind a poster promoting the upcoming Dead or Alive event as Adrianne Taylor stands between her and Commissioner Serena Dent.
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “We’ve had a lot of excitement on GZWA programming over the last few weeks and tonight’s show hasn’t even wrapped up yet. We still have the tag team contest between Knightmare INC and the unlikely duo of Mike Bradley and The Doombringer in their last encounter before they join the Television Champion and World Champion within the confines of the Elimination Chamber in the main event of Dead or Alive.
No, no. Tonight isn’t about that - tonight is about the winner takes all match that I have arranged for reigning champions Equinox and Senor Vinnie with both the Television Championship and World Championship on the line. The winner of that match will have the honor of walking into Dead or Alive as a double champion. Hopefully that will satisfy the critics’ cries of desiring and craving a challenge that they can sink their teeth into.”
Serena Dent | GZWA Commissioner: “Indeed. If I may, I would like to make a suggestion for tonight’s card to spice things up even more.”
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “Go ahead and knock yourself out, darling.”
Serena Dent | GZWA Commissioner: “We don’t want anyone ‘off the hook’ tonight since the Tag titles won’t be defended at Dead or Alive, so why not up the stakes and make Knightmare INC’s tag team match a title match later tonight? That would give Mike Bradley and The Doombringer at least one reason to play nicely tonight.”
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “That sounds like a lovely idea. You heard it here first, Ms. Taylor.”
Adrianne Taylor | Backstage Interviewer: “That’s great news. What else is store for Dead or Alive?”
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “Even though the Lucha Sisters - or rather Crystal Hilton and Talia Areano as how they’ve been referring to themselves collectively on social media - are not in attendance tonight, the Women’s Championship Match where Talia will defend her title against Crystal Hilton is still on for the event.
I’ve made a few phone calls and I’m making sure that the Queen of Queens Championship will be defended on that event as well. I will announce the opponent on GZWA.com once I narrow down my options.
After what transpired between the Cortez girls and Laura Jackson, I think it would be fitting that Laura Jackson faces Rose Cortez in a Submission Match...”
Serena Dent | GZWA Commissioner: “Aren’t you worried that they might actually enjoy that match?”
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “Hey, we only book the matches. I’m not concerning myself with whatever sick kinks people have. That’s what therapists are for.”
Serena Dent laughed, “Touche.”
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “I know that I said that the Bradley Clan needed to prove themselves, but I’m going to toss them a bone. Maybe I was a little too harsh on them… just a lil’ bit. I’m going to give them - along with The Clique and The Mega Busters a chance to win a future Tag Team Championship opportunity in a Tag Team Turmoil match.”
Adrianne Taylor | Backstage Interviewer: “One more question, ladies. What brought you to make the decision to make tonight’s main event a title for title, champion vs. champion match?”
“Scary” Mary Joyner | Interim GZWA Chairwoman: “It’s no secret that Dead or Alive will serve as the finale for this season of GZWA programming and competition. I wanted to make sure that these last two broadcasts are must-see TV. I’m neither punishing anyone nor caving into the demands of the inmates in the asylum. I’m merely providing the best match that can be offered as we head into our last PPV of 2018.”
Adrianne Taylor | Backstage Interviewer: “The GZWA Nation is definitely looking forward to seeing how that match turns out. I’m handing it back to my colleagues at ringside for our next match.”
Tag Team Match
The Bradley Clan (“The Bouncer” Kris Williams & “Dynamo” Jesse Bradley) vs. The Mega Busters (Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus; w/ Ashleigh Cash)
Prof. X: It was seen on ReAction that the Mega Busters have had a bit of a falling out. Psycho Sagus hasn’t been seen since with his bandmates since our last broadcast and it’s in question on whether or not that he’s going to participate in this match.
Francine: The Mega Busters announced on social media that if Sagus wasn’t going to make it then Ashleigh Cash was going to fill in. Normally I would question that decision, but she’s a part of their team as well. It’s not like she’s a stranger to in-ring competition. Many tend to forget that she competed in Reinas Tres as an alternate.
The Carter: I’m anxious to see this match-up after seeing how badly that the Bradley Clan want to add Tag Team gold to their list of accolades.
Francine: You’d love that, wouldn’t you? Just for we would have to be tortured hearing about that victory a million times.
The Carter: Hey, the Bradley Clan were my dark horse bet to win the Stardom Tag Team Classic last year, but I didn’t have any problems with the Frosts and Bobbi Jackson picking up that win though.
Kris Williams and Jesse Bradley stood in the ring, waiting the arrival of the Mega Busters. Much to the chagrin of the live crowd, only two of the three Mega Busters showed up for this match - Matthew Miles and Ashleigh Cash.
Prof. X: “Looks like the Mega Busters are going to have to make a miracle happen here tonight.”
Francine: “This isn’t no Field of Dreams, but anything is possible on any given night, professor. They said they were prepared, let’s just see how prepared they really are for the challenge ahead of them tonight.”
The Carter: “Yeah, the Bradley Clan ain't nothing to sneeze at and take lightly.”
Matthew Miles and Ashleigh Cash sprints down to the ring, fired up to get things started. He ducks an incoming Clothesline at the bottom of the entrance ramp as the Bradley Clan were ready to intercept them. Miles vaults off the ropes off the ring apron behind Kris Williams with a Springboard Cross Body. The Bouncer catches him out of the air with ease and tosses him into the ring with a Gorilla Press Slam. While that exchange took place, Ashleigh Cash meet the Dynamo head on as she nails Jesse with a Front Dropkick. This causes Jesse to whiplash her spine against the steel steps. Ashleigh would pat herself on the back for this, but she immediately backs up from the sight of Kris Williams turning around to set his undivided attention on her.
Matthew Miles was quick to recover and come to the aid of his girlfriend at ringside by vaulting out of the ring with Springboard Hurracanrana. Kris responds with a Double A Spinebuster, effectively catching him out of the air once again. This time, the Bouncer drops Miles on the bottom of the entrance ramp. This already wasn’t looking good for the Mega Busters but the duo found some salvation in the form of an Apron Dive Satellite Tilt-a-Whirl DDT from Ashleigh Cash to Kris out of retaliation. Ashleigh found herself floored with a Sling Blade from Jesse shortly thereafter to leave her right next to Miles.
Kris rolled Miles into the ring and went for the Pounce, but Miles leapfrogs over Kris’ body prior to the point of impact and flips him over into a Sunset Flip style pin.
ONE…
TW---WAIT!!!
Kris turns the tables with the Krunch (Kneeling Inverted Sharpshooter). Miles manages to crawl over and reach the ropes to force a rope break. The Bouncer wasn’t letting Matthew Miles off the hook as Kris races to continue the attack while Miles leaned on the ropes. Miles pulled the ropes down as the Bouncer closed in, causing him to tumble out of the ring. This window of opportunity after capitalizing on Kris’ eagerness to maintain the momentum gave Miles a short window to make a hot tag.
The Carter: If Miles can get the tag here, then hopefully the Mega Busters might be able to turn their luck around in this match.
Prof. X: They haven’t been able to get much going here. The Bradley Clan have been dominating this affair thus far.
Francine: The Mega Busters better start praying for a miracle then.
Miles crawls towards the ropes to make a tag towards Ashleigh with her hand stretched out to reach him. Jesse Bradley springboards into the ring and uses Miles’ spine like a stepping stool to vault herself over Ashleigh and remove her from the ring apron with a diving variation of the Dynamo Driver (Front Flip Piledriver) down to the ringside floor.
If it wasn’t clear enough already, Matthew Miles was in this on his own now without a soul to tag in his corner. Kris William backdrops Miles towards the middle of the ring and joins Jesse Bradley as they stomp their foot in preparation for a stereo Super Kick. Miles staggers to his feet and ducks out of the way, causing Jesse and Kris to floor each other with the pair of Super Kicks.
At that moment, Psycho Sagus is seen rushing through the crowd. He hops over the barricade to joins the match on the ring apron.
The Carter: Wait a minute, he can’t show up late to the party and still compete, can he?
Prof. X: Well, we can all note that Ashleigh Cash never was tagged into the match, so it’s up to the official to deem if this is still legal.
The referee on hand allows this change as Miles makes the hot tag. Sagus charges into the ring, gunning straight for the waking Bouncer while Jesse retreated back onto the ring apron. He baseball slides to avoid Kris Williams’ incoming point-blank Running Big Boot and knocks Jesse Bradley off the ring apron in one smooth motion by knocking her legs out from underneath her. Jesse’s face bounces off the ring apron as she fell to the floor. Sagus then climbs up the ring apron and comes down with a Missile Dropkick just as Kris turns around to see what had transpired.
Kris Williams gets up from the mat, only to receive a high/low combination from both Miles and Sagus in the form of a Spinning Wheel Kick and Sweep simultaneously. The duo then point to the corners to signal their pending aerial assault to end this match. Matthew Miles comes off the top rope first with a 450 Splash, landing successfully onto the Bouncer’s prone body. Psycho Sagus then opted for the Koopa Killer (Diving Double Foot Stomp) but he’s shoved off the top rope by the Dynamo herself. Sagus collides into Miles as he’s getting up from the mat, causing the Mega Busters to butt heads in the process. This confusion gave Jesse Bradley the window she needed to inject herself back into the action with a Springboard Missile Dropkick to both Mega Busters.
At this point, Kris was back to his feet after shaking off the cobwebs. Jesse and Kris beckon the Mega Busters to their feet as they line up a pair of Super Kicks for Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus. To the surprise of the Bradleys and the GZWA Nation, all four competitors connect with Super Kicks as the Mega Busters unloaded with a pair of their own to meet the ones served by the Bradley Clan. All four competitors collectively fall to the mat simultaneously as the crowd is on their feet in anticipation of who is going to get up first to make the next move. Ashleigh Cash is finally back to her feet, holding her head as she excitedly pounds the ring apron to urge her boys to keep on fighting.
Matthew Miles and Psycho Sagus stand up in unison with Jesse Bradley and Kris Williams.
“We can do this all day…” says Sagus as the two teams stand face to face.
Kris and Jesse looked to each other and closed in with a pair of right hooks. Matthew Miles baseball slides out of harm’s way and stops at ringside. He makes sure to hit the brakes in time to stop short of colliding with Ashleigh Cash at ringside. Ashleigh shoves her boyfriend out of the line of fire with haste as Jesse Bradley launches herself out of the ring with a Tope Con Hilo. The Dynamo crashes into Ashleigh instead in which allows Miles to floor her with a Shining Wizard as Jesse stood back up.
Back in the ring, Sagus had met Kris’ hook with a Shotei to the face that Jushin Thunder Liger would be proud of. With the Bouncer reeling, Psycho Sagus went for the Game Genie (Swinging Reverse STO/Alex Shelley’s Shell Shock), but Kris was able to use his momentum against him to counter with a Swinging Sidewalk Slam. With the lone Mega Buster floored, Kris Williams applies the Krunch (Kneeling Inverted Sharpshooter) once again. Miles went to make the save with a springboard back into the ring but Jesse Bradley met him at the same time from the adjacent ropes with a springboard of her own back into the ring. She connects with a Jumping Neckbreaker out of the air and manages to drop him right on top of Sagus’ lower body as he was still trapped in Kris’ hold. Sagus taps out shortly thereafter; thus giving the victory here to the Bradley Clan tonight.
The Carter: The Mega Busters tried, but ultimately the Bradley Clan came out on top tonight. They do this again at Dead or Alive and we could be looking at the next potential challengers for the Tag Team titles in 2019.
Senor Vinnie is seen backstage with his world title as he is shining the belt up real nice, he looks at the camera and grins
Senor Vinnie: Do you know what day today is??? Its championship galore day. Today I am about to win the TV title and secure my world title around my waist as well. That’s great huh???
The camera nods in approval
Senor Vinnie: Thank you, I’m glad that at least one person sees things my way. I just hope that Equinox will see things my way after I am done with him. Because that’s the last thing that he will ever see of that championship belt of his.
With that he closes the door as he continues to shine his belt
GZWA Tag Team Championship Match
GZWA Tag Team Champions Knightmare INC (Jayson Heagerty & Chance Justice w/ Kendall Knight) vs. The Doombringer and “The Next Level” Mike Bradley
Mike Bradley refuses to tag in The Doombringer as he starts the match against Jayson Heagerty. The bell rings and Jayson Heagerty is instantly on the warpath as he tackles the Next Level to the mat with a Lou Thesz Press. Heagerty gets a few punches in before finding himself Monkey Flipped off of Mike Bradley’s body. Mike sprung back up to his feet and followed up with first within a trifecta of Triple Rolling Dragon Suplexes (Dragonforce). After the second Dragon Suplex, Heagerty bridges his body to pin Bradley’s shoulders to the mat.
ONE…
T---NO!!!
The Doombringer races into the ring to break the pin, but Jayson Heagerty broke the pin intentionally, causing The Doombringer to drop a Jumping Leg Drop over the Next Level’s throat instead of over Heagerty’s own. This turn of events caused Mike Bradley to get in The Doombringer’s face for his mistake. The two unlikely allies stared down in silence until Mike Bradley showed no fear with a Pimp Slap to The Doombringer’s face. A collective “Ooooooo” comes from the fans in attendance as the Next Level stands in front of The Doombringer without fear of retaliation. The Doombringer instantly grabs him around his throat and elevates Mike Bradley into the air with a Two-Handed Choke. Just before the color was about to leave his face, the Doombringer released Mike Bradley to the mat with a sickening thud. Chance Justice capitalizes onto this fighting among partners with a 450 Splash to the downed Next Level while Jayson Heagerty knocks the Doombringer over the top rope with a Missile Dropkick. To the surprise of Knightmare INC, the Doombringer lands on his feet at ringside. This prompts Chance Justice to dive out of the ring with a Spear to the Doombringer, only for the Phenom to catch the unfortunate soul onto his shoulders. The Doombringer showed no remorse as he drove Chance into the ringside floor with a Tombstone Piledriver, clearly not forgetting what the Knightmare INC did to him on the last Primetime - having a pivotal role in preventing him from capturing the World Championship from Senor Vinnie.
Back in the ring, Jayson Heagerty performs the Silencer (Starship Pain) while Chance was preoccupied with the Doombringer. He took the opportunity to make the cover as Chance was receiving his last rites at the hands of the Doombringer.
ONE…

THR---NO!!!
The Doombringer drags Jayson Heagerty out of the ring to prevent the pinfall at the last instant. Mike Bradley took a moment to shake off the cobwebs and returned to a vertical base. His first act was payback and that was executed in the form of a Phoenix Splash to the outside of the ring. The Doombringer found himself shoved into the line of fire by Jayson Heagerty, thus creating another miscommunication between these unlikely allies. Jayson Heagerty closed in with a Discus Lariat, but Mike smashes his head onto the ring apron and rolls him back into the ring. Once back into the ring, the Next Level helped Jayson to his feet with the Brookline Bounce (Inverted Facelock + Leg Drop Bulldog). With Heagerty down, Mike hit the ropes and hit a Running Shooting Star Press off the rebound before making a pin of his own.

TH---WAIT!!!
Jayson Heagerty rolled back up to his feet with Mike Bradley bench pressed overhead in a Military Press to the shock and awe of the live crowd. Chance Justice was slow to his feet but he was lining up in position on the top rope for a diving variation of the Only Need One Chance (Curb Stomp). Sensing the danger, Mike Bradley dropped behind Heagerty to counter with a Sitout Rear Mat Slam (Edge-O-Matic) to escape that fate. He then quickly sprung back up to his feet and hops up onto the top rope to join Chance Justice. He removes him from the top rope with Final Boss (Spanish Fly) and covers Heagerty once more with Chance laid across of his body.

THRE---NO!!!
Mike Bradley was sure that was going to be the end of Knightmare INC there, but the referee assures him that both members of Knightmare INC kicked out before the 3-count. Mike stood back up and found himself tagged from behind by the Doombringer standing on the ring apron. The Doombringer brushes past Bradley and takes matters into his own hands by picking both members of Knightmare INC off the canvas in a Double Chokeslam. The Doombringer was about to raise them collectively into the air, but Kendall Knight slides into the ring with a steel chair in hand. Kendall Knight smashes the chair over The Doombringer’s spine to prevent the Double Chokeslam. The referee has no choice but to disqualify the champs for Knight’s interference and give tonight’s victory to The Doombringer and Mike Bradley via disqualification, but as a result Knightmare INC retain the tag team titles. Mike Bradley attempted to intervene, but the damage was already done. Regardless, the two get into a tug of war contest, ending with Mike snatching the chair away as The Doombringer spun around to see what transpired, only to receive another chair shot in the process. This only angers the Doombringer even more as he floors Mike with a Big Boot, who had just floored Kendall Knight with a chair shot, effectively smashing the chair into Mike’s face as payback before turning his attention back to Knightmare INC with a successful Double Chokeslam. The Tag champs wisely retreat after grabbing their titles from ringside while the Doombringer stood ready for another Chokeslam to the waking Next Level. Mike Bradley elbows him ferociously with multiple elbow shots to the head to free himself and backs off briefly before returning with a Shining Wizard. The Doombringer caught him out of the air and raised him up into the air before driving him down within a Last Ride powerbomb. The Doombringer leaned over to continue the assault but he struck back with a chair shot as Mike wasn’t ready to give up the fight. Security and referees flood into the ring to keep them separated as chants of “Let them fight!” echo throughout the arena.
Knightmare INC watched this spectacle take place and dropped their titles midway down the ramp before racing back down to the ring. Both men dive off the top rope into the crowd surrounding Mike and the Doombringer respectively, leaving a scene of utter chaos as bodies are scattered around and within the ring.
Prof. X: “Thank god that these men are going to be confined within the Elimination Chamber at Dead or Alive. It’s clear that no ordinary match is going to be able to contain these individuals.
Francine: “Not to mention that we still have a title for title match to get through for the main event. No matter what happens, one of the two men in our main event is going to walk into Dead or Alive with two titles to defend in the Elimination Chamber.”
The Carter: “That’s one hell of a scary thought indeed, especially with all of these personalities involved.”
Main Event: Winner Takes All - Champion vs. Champion
GZWA World Champion Senor Vinnie (c) vs. GZWA Television Champion Equinox (c)
There MUST be a winner, Title WILL Change Hands From DQ/Count Out
Prof. X: I know that it was a last minute decision from the Interim Chairwoman, but tonight’s broadcast is ending with one hell of a main event as both the reigning Television Champion and World Champion will face off in a winner takes all match.
Francine: There’s no question that this is one hell a match to end on before we head to Dead or Alive. Just know that whoever wins this match will walk into Dead or Alive holding BOTH titles.
Both champions hold up their respective titles as Zoey Valentine runs down the rules.
Zoey Valentine | Ring Announcer: “As decreed by the Interim Chairwoman, this is a winner takes all match with both the GZWA World Championship and GZWA Television Championship on the line. The following match will have no time limit. This match will continue until there is named a winner by pinfall or submission. In the result of a count-out or disqualification will result in the corresponding title changing hands to the victor.”
Both men lock up after the opening bell. Vinnie shoves Equinox across the ring with ease with his power advantage. Equinox sprung back up and locked horns with the bull known as Senor Vinnie once more. This time, Equinox kicks Vinnie in the shin, which allows him to gain the upper hand by contorting Vinnie’s arm into a hammerlock position. From there, Equinox connects with a Rainmaker Clothesline. Senor Vinnie stood unfettered by the blow, which caused Equinox to connect with another. Once again, we came to the same result. Equinox was not deterred in his quest in the least as he went for one more Clothesline, only for Vinnie stop him in tracks with his free hand firmly grasped around his throat. Equinox headbutts Vinnie over the bridge of his nose in response before executing a standing Spanish Fly from out of this Rainmaker position to leave the World Champion at his feet. Equinox then took to the top rope and connects with a Diving Foot Stomp (Kill Stomp-style ala Shane Strickland) to the chest of Senor Vinnie. Before Equinox could make the cover, Senor Vinnie wisely rolls underneath the bottom rope and staggers out to ringside for a breather.
Vinnie walks around the ring and stood at the bottom of the entrance ramp.
Prof. X: As a reminder, our Interim Chairwoman has decreed that the titles will change hands in an event of count out or disqualification as she doesn’t want any questions about a winner here. The Carter: I’m sure Senor Vinnie is merely getting a breather instead of trying to bail out.
Francine: I don’t think we have to worry about that happening as Equinox is bringing the fight to him instead.
Equinox slides out of the ring in hot pursuit of the GZWA World Champion and races across the barricade after gunning around the corner. He cuts off Vinnie’s path at the bottom of the ramp with a Flying Forearm Smash. Vinnie welcomes him with open arms as he caught Equinox out of the air with a Bearhug counter. The Television Champion bit tooth and nail against the pressure that Vinnie applied to vise his arms around Nox’s waist to summon the strength to answer with a bell clap to Vinnie’s ears. Vinnie was unfazed by the first blow, but Equinox repeated this tactic until he received the fruits of this labor. Vinnie involuntarily released Equinox from his grasp and stumbled back around the ring to attempt to shake off the damage dealt to him in this match thus far. The High Spot Hero wasn’t going to allow Vinnie to escape his wrath. He dove through the ropes at the corner with a Suicide Dive Tornado DDT (Sami Zayn style), looking to catch Vinnie as he came around the corner. What Equinox didn’t see coming was Vinnie catching him onto his shoulders and hurling him back into that very same corner post with a Lawn Dart at ringside.
The referee and ringside medic races over to ask if Equinox can continue. The World Champion shoves the medic aside and immediately Powerbombs Equinox onto the ring apron to the disgust of the live crowd.
Prof. X: I don’t know how much more Equinox can take...
Senor Vinnie rolls the Television Champion into the ring and makes the cover.
ONE…
TWO…
THRE----WAIT!!!
Equinox rolled through the pin in an application of the Calf Killer shortly before the referee’s hand came down for the count of three. The World Champion was running out of options here. He wasn’t anywhere near the ropes to force a rope break and it was only a matter of time before he would be forced to submit to this hold to avoid any possible injury that would handicap him in the Elimination Chamber match at Dead or Alive next month. Desperate times call for desperate measures as Vinnie resorts to smashing the back of Equinox’s head into the mat. Eventually the fruits of this labor come to fruition as Equinox involuntarily breaks the hold. Senor Vinnie limped back up to his feet with Equinox following suit shortly thereafter with Nox performing a Purple Asian Mist to stop Vinnie in his tracks as he loomed closer. Equinox staggered back to his feet and connected with a Purple Haze (V-Trigger Knee sometimes to a bent over opponent) while Senor Vinnie was bent over and rubbing his eyes, attempting to restore his vision. With the World Champion down at his feet, Equinox points to the top rope as he made his ascension to the heavens. He came down from the top rope with the Dark Kingdom (Swanton Bomb), landing successfully onto Senor Vinnie’s body.
Prof. X: This is it, folks. We could be looking at our new World Champion right here.
ONE…
TWO…
THRE-------NO!!!!
Equinox joins with the rest of the GZWA Nation in disbelief after this near-fall.
The Carter: Seriously, what’s it going to take to beat Senor Vinnie?
Francine: Don’t forget that a wealth of Superstars and Vixens underestimated him during Riot Control earlier this year when he captured the title. Equinox would be wise to not repeat that mistake.
Prof. X: Can’t count out Equinox either. He’s been Television Champion for roughly a year now, overcoming every obstacle in his way. He’s seeing this as yet another roadblock he has to floor the gas and make his way over.
Equinox drags Vinnie to his feet and Irish whips him into the corner. Equinox found himself being flung into the corner instead after Vinnie reverses the whip attempt. Equinox charged into the corner and came down with Whisper in the Wind-like twist as he performs the Rising Revolution (Eclipse/Corkscrew Flipping Neckbreaker) -- or so he thought. Senor Vinnie caught him during execution within a Dragon Sleeper. Equinox slowly fades within the hold as the tables are now turned. Equinox finds himself in the same dilemma that Senor Vinnie found himself in earlier in this match. Does he submit now to avoid being at advantage from being possibly injured going into the Elimination Chamber match next month at Dead or Alive or can he figure a way out of this hairy situation. Equinox could feel the strength being sapped out of his limbs the longer he’s in this hold. He uses his free legs to kick Vinnie in the forehead, stunning him long enough to flip himself up and teeter Vinnie back to the mat and pin Vinnie’s shoulders to the mat in a bridging pin.
ONE…
T---NO!!!
Vinnie instantly releases the hold to free himself, but that put him right into the line of fire from the Roundhouse Kick that followed afterwards. Equinox notices Senor Vinnie continuing to stir. He knew that he had to do something more drastic, something more extreme to end this match. He begins removing the dressings at the corners of the ring and tearing away padding until he exposes the wooden floorboards. He stomped on Vinnie repeated before ascending the the turnbuckle once more. The Television Champion was poised ready for another Dark Kingdom on his quest to fulfill his destiny and become the World Champion. Unfortunately, Vinnie prevented Equinox’s flight plans by tripping up the referee and causing him into fall onto the ropes. This causes Equinox to collapse onto the top rope after losing his footing. Senor Vinnie is slow to get back up and joins Equinox onto the top rope. He then took Equinox for flight of his own as he delivers an explosive Sitout Powerbomb onto the exposed beams below. The wooden floorboards crack underneath their combined weight as Vinnie pins his shoulders to the mat.
ONE…
TWO…
THRE----------NO!!!!
Now Senor Vinnie is the one left in shock and awe that the Television Champion kicked out.
Prof. X: Equinox came back to GZWA for this moment. He’s not going to allow all of his hard work to be in vain. This is a Superstar who prides himself on his body of work as the Television Champion throughout 2018.
The Carter: Now Vinnie’s the one wondering what is he going to have to do to put Equinox away for good.
Francine: And to say that there were people questioning the Interim Chairwoman’s decision to book this match tonight…
Vinnie hoists Equinox off the canvas into another Papi Bomb (Powerbomb), but Equinox counters with a Double Knee Facebuster. He lands flat on his back on the exposed boards while Vinnie falls back onto the ropes behind him. Both Superstars stumble back to their feet with Equinox connecting with a Black Mask Kick that causes Vinnie to fall face-first into the canvas.
Prof. X: That blow looked like it knocked Vinnie’s lights out! Could this be the end of his tenure as World Champion?
Equinox doubled over after the strike, favoring his back as he covered the World Champion.
ONE…
TWO…
THRE----------WAIT!!!!
Senor Vinnie rolls his shoulder off the mat and reverses their positions with Equinox face-down on the canvas. He drove a pair of double knees over his ailing spine and followed up with an application of the Papi Recliner (Steiner Recliner). The Television Champion wasn’t anywhere near the ropes as the World Champion sat on his spine. Equinox wasn’t willing to give up the ghost even though his body was screaming against his decision. Vinnie’s eyes widen with shock as Equinox began to rise up from the canvas, carrying Vinnie’s weight on his shoulders with the hold still firmly applied. Equinox was on all fours when Vinnie improvised by releasing the hold and performing a Jumping Double Stomp to the Television Champion’s back, driving Equinox to collapse back onto the exposed floorboards. From this position, the World Champion reapplied the Papi Recliner as the referee looked for any signs of the Television Champion submitting. The referee couldn’t raise Equinox’s arms since they were bound to the hold, but Equinox hasn’t submitted to the hold as Senor Vinnie continues to add pressure.
Francine: I have to wonder exactly how much punishment can he endure? For one who pride himself for facing every challenge presented to him head-on, Equinox is definitely getting his money’s worth here tonight.
The Carter: He’s participated in countless deathmatches and hectic contests around the world, notably around the world in multiple promotions outside of GZWA. There’s no question about his threshold for pain.
Prof. X: True, but everyone has a limit. Then there are rare exceptions. Equinox has stated on multiple occasions that the Television Championship means everything to him. It was the reason he came back to GZWA. He’s not going to give up here.
Back in the ring, Senor Vinnie is demanding the referee check Equinox. The referee checks Equinox for any signs of a submission. The High Spot Hero hasn’t submitted to the hold, but at the same time, Equinox has lost consciousness. The official has no choice to make the call to end this match.
Zoey Valentine | Ring Announcer: “As a result of a knockout, the referee has rewarded the victory of this contest to Senor Vinnie. Your winner and STILL GZWA World Champion - as well as NEW Television Champion, Senor Vinnie!”
Francine: As much as I hated to see this match come to an end, but one of these warriors had to walk away the winner.
The Carter: Equinox put everything he had into being the best Television Champion that he could possibly be, but all great things must come to an end.
Prof. X: I see it differently, my colleagues. Equinox didn’t give up - his body may have failed him tonight, but that doesn’t rule out that he could walk out of Dead or Alive with the shoe on the other foot as Senor Vinnie is going into that event with not one but TWO bullseyes on his back now.
Francine: Good point. Senor Vinnie has two titles to defend within the Elimination Chamber against not one but five challengers. Equinox never struck me as one to given up on his dream to be World Champion, so I imagine that he’s going to move heaven and earth to regain what he sees as rightfully his.
The Carter: Heaven help anyone that stands in his way or any one else willing to take down the opposition for that title. We’re definitely in for a war at Dead or Alive next month.
Prof. X: That being said, that’s all the time we have tonight, folks. Stay tuned for ReAction but be sure to join us next month for Dead or Alive on Pay-Per-View!
