(The camera fades from black to a scene a bath house somewhere in San Francisco. It is Asian themed as we see Japanese tapestries all over the tiled walls. Potted bonsai trees line the corners. The bath house is currently empty except for a figure that we see through all the steam. The camera pans closer and we see that it is Vespertine. She is laying on a bench with an arm over her eyes. All she is wrapped in is a white towel and her hair is stringy from being wet. She sighs and her naked chest, glowing and shiny from the sweat and steam, raises and lowers. The camera pans around and we see a hot tub/whirlpool in the middle of the room. A couple of other women are in there taking advantage of it. Tiled benches adorn the room and the floor is all wooden. When Vespertine talks, it is not her but her voice, as a voice over
VO: I always amaze myself. The stuff I have to put myself through just to keep up with the rest of the women, or men for that matter. It’s a wonder I haven’t died yet. From the crazy sick stuff that I do when I’m in specialty matches. From all the risks I take. From all the shots to the face and body that I get. My last one, an opponent jumped off the top of a Hell in a Cell cage to land on my stomach, 50 ft below.
(cut to shot of a woman in all black doing the Jeff Hardy sign on top of a Hell in a Cell. She is covered in blood. She jumps off the cage for a moment hanging suspended in mid air and then senton bombs the figure on the mat, that of Vespertine, also covered in blood. She lands, right on the stomach of Vespertine and both roll writhing in pain on the mat. The women somehow happens to roll out of the ring and Vespertine looks to be coughing up blood. Cut back to shot of Vespertine leaning against the tiled wall of the bath house)
VO: Amazingly, I won that match. Perserverance saw me through. I retained my title but I also gained the respect of a fellow female warrior just like me. That was in VCW. In WCW it happened to me again. I had to be suplexed off a loading dock in order for me to gain respect from my opponent that night.
(cut to shot to a female wrestler in pink and braided hair and Vespertine on the edge of a loading dock trading blows. The female wrestler is bloody all over, Vespertine has a cut above her eye. Her opponent kicks Vespertine in the mid section and then goes in, picks her up and for a moment time stands still as her opponent has her upside down at the edge of the loading dock. Time starts up again and the wrestler in pink falls backwards off the loading dock to a pile of pallets 7 ft below. Vespertine bounces off and lands on the cement a few feet away. Both are out cold after the move is done and the camera focuses on both their bloody faces.)
VO: Somehow I pulled through and won that match. Perserverance again, saw me through. The first title I ever won in WCW. I again, earned the respect of a female warrior that night, in another federation. But in these types of matches you also have to dish out just as much as you receive. In an indy federation, IIW, another female warrior and I were in a series of 7 set of matches. Match 3, Bullrope match. I did what I had to.
(camera cuts to shot of Vespertine, blood coming from a cut on her forehead, punching away at another female wrestler, this time dressed in blue. Both are tied by the wrists together by a rather long rope. In the middle of the rope is tied a cowbell. Vespertine pushes the other wrestler into the corner where she lays there dazed. Vespertine looks around and suddenly her eyes land on the cowbell. She goes over to pick it up and with an evil look on her face, goes back to the corner of the female wrestler and starts wailing on her with it. She does this for a minute before letting up, and going towards the other turnbuckle. The other female, her face a mask of blood now, slides down the turnbuckle and lies dazed in the corner. Camera cuts back to Vespertine in the bathhouse)
VO: I can’t say perserverance saw me through. That was out and out just evil. But I won the match. She left the federation before we finished our series of 7. Too bad too because after that I was the only one left in the women’s division. The indy went out of business. Which leads me to this: I don’t always win. I can’t always preserve. I’m only female. My body does give out sometimes. Especially when I am wrestling men. But if I want to make an impression on them as well I have to step up and take it to them. In WCW, I returned, after a 6 month hiatus and in my first match back I joined a boiler room brawl match. 3 men, 1 women, that one woman being me. I don’t know if I gained the respect of anybody. I know my body went through hell. I also know I didn’t win the match that night. I am mortal. What I do know, I gained a male friend in the process. An ally on the WCW roster.
(cut to shot of a male construction worker looking guy and Vespertine trading blows in a rather darkened boiler room. Behind them, two other men are trading blows as well, though, they are trading chair shots. Both the construction worker and Vespertine are cut up, the worker on his arms, Vespertine on her face. Suddenly the construction worker kicks her midsection and when she doubles over, he grabs her and sets her up for a suplex. He looks around, spies a pallet of crates and drags her over to them. He gets on top of the crates, picks her up and suplexes her through the crates. She writhes in pain for a second as her body spasms and then lays still. The camera focuses in on her face and now her face is a crimson mask from forehead to neck.)
(Camera cuts back to a shot of Vespertine breathing in and out for a spell and then settling back down.)
VO: And then there are times when I not only give out but something in you breaks. Something in you becomes broken. I always say that I will bleed if I have too, that I will break something if I have to, just to take you down. In WCW, this was literally. My adversary was a veteran whom I respected quite a lot in WCW. We started out on opposite sides but by the time our runs in WCW were through, not only were Widow and I fast friends but we were stablemates. One night, the management decided to test us. Another female warrior, another steel cage, another night. But on this night I had no idea what I had in store for me.
(camera cuts to scene of a female wrestler and Vespertine trading blows at the top of a steel cage. Vespertine is dressed all in purple. Widow is dressed in a nurse’s outfit with an eye patch over her right eye. They are both bruised and battered but at the top of the cage, adrenaline kicks in and they continue to trade blows back and forth. There is a sort of platform all around the top of the cage so the wrestlers can sit or stand. Both Vespertine and Widow get up but continue to trade blows. Suddenly Widow kicks Vespertine in the gut and sets her up for a move by putting Vespertine’s head between her legs. She jumps and for a second or two all times seems to stop and they seem suspended in midair and then the downward descent begins.
Announcer’s voice: OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! Widow just X factored Vespertine off the steel cage onto the ground below. Get some medical help out there.
Audience in the background: Holy s**t! Holy s**t! Holy s**t!!!!
(camera focuses in Widow who is holding her butt and rolling on the ground. Then it focuses on Vespertine who is out cold and blood is pouring from her mouth. As we watch, a medical team comes up and looks them over. The bell rings. Camera cuts back to Vespertine in the bath house)
VO: I was first out of the cage but they awarded the match to Widow. In the process my face was broken in two. I couldn’t eat for a month. I had to wear a mask just like the Undertaker did. If you look closely at my face now, a tiny scar runs down the middle of it. I had corrective surgery done to put my face back together. It wasn’t the greatest moment in my life but it was one I will NEVER forget. I gained the respect of the audience several times over that night and Widow. Ah, Widow. I’ll never forget you my friend.
(the camera cuts back to Vespertine in the bath house. She is sitting up now and one leg is crossed over the other. She has her head back against the wall and her eyes are still closed.)
VO: Sometimes I wonder if all this is worth it. Wrestling has never been in my family. My father owns a restaurant chain. Mom was an elementary school teacher. I’m an only child. I have trained in mixed martial arts, Tae Kwon Do, Judo and Capoeira ever since I can remember. It wasn’t by my choice. It was my father’s. He thought, that living in San Francisco, martial arts would help me defend myself if I were attacked on the streets. He didn’t know what kind of monster that would create. I would always be the best at what I do… even in my dojo. I work hard and try to be the best at everything I do.
(camera cuts to scene of a dojo. Several students in white karate outfits and brown belts surround a single person who is standing in the middle of the circle waiting with bo staff at the ready. It is a much younger Vespertine dressed in a black karate outfit and has on a black belt. Everyone is barefoot. Suddenly the door opens behind them and a distinguished grey haired older man in about his late 50s comes through the door. He looks around at all the students.)
Man: Is everyone ready?
All: Yes sensei!
Man; HAI!
(as one, everyone springs into motion and they all surround Vespertine. A man charges at her and she swings her bo staff and misses but on a second swing she gets him on the shoulder. She then points the staff at his chest and lifts and the man goes flying over her.
(cut to scene of all the men that faced her all laying on the ground groaning in pain. Vespertine is standing in the middle of them with Bo staff at the ready. As we watch she goes from defensive stance to an at-ease type of stance. In slow motion, she turns around kneels on the floor and bows to the sensei. A slow smile spreads across his lips and he puts his hands together and bows to her. Camera cuts to a scene of her in the bathhouse. Same position but now her eyes are open and are staring vacantly at an object somewhere far away.)
VO: I was at the top of my dojo. But I learned everything I could learn and was taught everything that could be taught to me. So I went away. There I gained the respect of my teacher and the rest of the students. From that…. To this. Where did I take a wrong turn in life.
(camera cuts to shot of her at the top of a 20 ft ladder trading blows with a particularly muscular man. She is bleeding and he is too. There are tables made of glass all over the ring around them. The man gets in one last punch and then pushes her off the ladder. He follows her, he scoops her up in the start of a scoop slam. A glass table is set up in front of him and he is about to slam her through it. He looks at her, then looks at the table then looks back at her. He puts a hand between her legs and rubs back and forth. Vespertine starts to moan with a sort of humiliated pleasure. He rips off her top to reveal a red lacy underwire underneathe her purple top. He feels both breasts and then raises her up to begin a powerbomb. He lifts her up more and then, as if in slow motion, powerbombs her through the glass table. He stands over her arm raised in victory and a foot on her chest. Camera pans back to the bath house)
VO: The beginning of a rather long career in WCW. Just like I hope it will be a long career here in GZWA. But I enjoy every minute of my wrestling career. And the man? He didn’t know me and thought he could get away with what he did in the ring. I raged for days after that and got my revenge at the next PPV.
(camera cuts to scene of her in the ring swinging a steel baseball bat at the head of the bloody man, another wrestler lays beside him. Vespertine raises the bat and turns it downward to strike at him. She has an evil feral look in her eyes and she strikes downward and we can see blood splash from his face and hear the sickening thud of metal on flesh. He falls backwards. She raises the bat above her head and screams out in fury, the crowd is going wild at this point. She turns to face the camera and we see she has a small sliver of his blood that has splashed on her face)
VO: I know in this life, I will be taken advantage of. I will be cut down. There will always be someone who will try and take me down a notch. There will always be someone to try and take my place. I always try and win and even if I don’t win, I try to come darn near close. Not everyone feels death by diva. Not everyone loses to me or learns or even becomes stronger. I have bled, I have been broken. I have been humiliated. But after all this, there is one thing I have learned in life that is most important to me and its from the squared circle that I have learned the biggest lesson of all.
(Camera cuts to a scene of her standing face to face with another female warrior who is dressed in low cut cargo pants, black wrestling boots, an tight army shirt and her flaming red hair is down to her waist and is sticking in places on her blood splattered head. Vespertine stands across from her bleeding as well. We can hear the announcer announce.)
Announcer: And the winner of this match and new Women’s Champion: VESPERTINE!!!!
Announcer (echo) Winner and new US heavyweight Champion. Vespertine!
Announcer (echo) Winner and new IIW Women’s champion: Vespertine
Announcer (echo) Winner and new tag team champion: Vespertine.
Announcer (echo) Winner and new World Champion: Vespertine!!!!
(The woman in cargo pants goes up to Vespertine and sticks out her hand to shake it both are bloody and tired. Vespertine looks at her, looks at her hand, then back at her and takes it and shakes it. Both women raises their arms and look at the audience. Camera fades to black)
VO: Respect is earned. Not given.
OOC: To the people I'm RPing against this time. Feel free to make more, my limit this time will be 2.
(The camera fades from black to a scene a bath house somewhere in San Francisco. It is Asian themed as we see Japanese tapestries all over the tiled walls. Potted bonsai trees line the corners.
