[li]Formal Introduction by GZWA Owner, Xion Zeros
Xion Zeros takes center stage as the audience gets comfortable in their seats. With a microphone in hand, the GZWA Owner raises it to his lips.
Xion Zeros: "Welcome and thank you for attending GZWA's first house show event. Everyone in attendance tonight gets their tickets for next week's first ever GZWA Primetime taping at 50% off. Children will be able to attend for free, of course."
The audience erupts into cheers as Xion Zeros continues, but he’s suddenly interrupted by a rather familiar blonde female walking towards the ring. Before she could open her mouth, the GZWA Owner holds his hands up to calm her down.
“Justice, I know you want an explanation as you’re the last to find out about my latest business venture even though you’re my girlfriend and all, but to be fair I’m saving the explanations for next week’s first weekly TV taping. Trust me on this one, I’ll make it worth your while. You’ve trusted and had faith in me all of this time so far, so I ask you to continue doing the same.”
Justice stands in front of the GZWA Owner with her hands on her hips as a stern look covers her face, but it reluctantly turns into a smile as she nods in agreement at the GZWA Owner’s words. Xion Zeros then turns back towards to the audience to speak once more.
“We have a wonderful show lined up tonight, and without a shadow of a doubt, GZWA will entertain all of you tonight.”
Xion Zeros heads backstage with Justice on his arm while the participants for the opening contest make their way to the ring.
[/li][li]Triple Threat - "Showstoppin' Senorita" Mariah vs. Karen Beth Zurich vs. "Heartbreaker" Lise Starr
After all 3 women have entered the ring, Mariah asks for a microphone before the match goes underway.
Mariah: “I’m not sure if you people out there know me, but this hottest than usual Latina before you is the “Showstoppin’ Senorita” known as Mariah. I can’t speak for all of the GZWA ladies on the roster, but I can say for damn sure that we’re here in GZWA to wrestle and not do any little bra and panties matches or roll around in some mud. I think the three of us in this ring can agree on that one little thing.”
Lise Starr: “Agreed but let’s be serious here, Mariah. We both know that the REAL reason you joined GZWA is to even the score with me… while I won’t lie that I want to do the same with Kare-Bear over there.”
Karen Beth Zurick: (after snatching the microphone away from Lise) “This again? You two still aren’t over what I did to you in that ‘other’ company. Let’s be adults here - grow up and move on. Clearly, I was better than both of you there and I’ll establish that fact here as well. Just deal with it.”
Mariah and Lise look at each other and silently agree with whipping KBZ into the ropes. The bell sounds to officially start the match as KBZ hitss the match from the impact from the pending double clothesline. KBZ groggily stands to her feet as she gets the royal treatment from Mariah and Lise once more as they alleyoop her over the ropes only to crash down at ringside.
Mariah and Lise stand together in the ring, staring down before shaking hands out of sportsmanship. Lise makes the first move with a low dropkick to Mariah. Lise follows up with a shining wizard to the now-kneeling Showstoppin’ Senorita. Lise Starr then pulls Mariah back to her feet by her purple hair, for a Northern Lights Suplex. Mariah hooks her leg around Lise’s own before countering with an Irish whip into the corner. Mariah pursues her rival with a series of handsprings into the corner before ending with a corner splash to sandwich her between Mariah’s body and the turnbuckle. Mariah stands on the middle buckle as she begins punching the forehead of Lise. The crowd joins her in the count until KBZ ends the count at 6 with a slingshot clothesline to send Mariah crashing to the mat.
KBZ then turns her sights back on Lise as she connects with a Big Bang (Shining Wizard to cornered opponent followed by a senton). With both Mariah and Lise disposed of, KBZ formally bows as the crowd showers her with boos. Lise comes from behind with a mat slam while Mariah adds a flipping senton for good measure. Lise then blindsides Mariah with a Heartbreaker (Super Kick) as she turns around to thank her for the assist. Mariah caught Lise’s foot and dragon screws her down to the mat before applying a Texas Cloverleaf to Starr’s lower body. KBZ refuses to allow Mariah to pick up the win so she applies a leg scissors around Lise’s neck and arm.
The referee looks for any sign of submitting from Lise as she inches her fingers towards the nearby ropes but just as Lise had the ropes in her grasp, the bell rings to sign the end of the match. Both Mariah, KBZ, and Lise argue with the referee, trying to know who won/lost this match and the official timekeeper informs everyone that this match ends in a draw as a result of the 10 minute time limit.
[/li][li]Singles Match - "Mistress of Rock 'n Roll" Rini Starr vs. "Shockingly Sexy" Statik
Statik slides into the ring with microphone in hand, analyzing her opponent here tonight.
“Only thing shocking around here is the obvious lack of competition in front of me…”
That strikes a nerve in Rini Starr as she levels Statik with a super kick to the face that knocks the microphone out of her hand. Sensing an early win, Rini takes to the top rope and leaps high with a diving moonsault. Statik puts her knees up in time to counter, that causes Rini to hurt herself instead. Rini gasps as she attempts to get up holding her ribs and turns around into an implant DDT from Statik. Statik then takes to the corner and watches her prey as she lines up a pending Spear. Rini Starr turns around into the blow and becomes the first victim to fall at the hands of Statik in GZWA tonight after Statik picks up the 3 count.
Statik stands over Rini’s broken body taunting her, “Shocking, isn’t it?”
[/li][li]Singles Match - "The Cobra" Serena Dent vs. “Miss V” Amiee Vaughan
Jaydan Gabriel escorts his wife to the ring but leaves with a kiss after wishing her luck in tonight’s match. Serena takes advantage of the tender moment by greeting Amiee with an Irish whip into the steel steps. Amiee Vaughan slams into the steps with a sickening thud before The Cobra rolls her into the ring for an early pin attempt. Amiee gets the shoulder up after a 2 count while Serena argues with the referee for counting slow. She then wipes her heels off on Amiee’s grounded body before connecting with a standing moonsault to the grounded Miss V. Again, Serena pins Amiee but only gets a 2 count. She begins to pull at her own hair out of frustration as she threatens the referee to count faster. Amee taps on Serena’s shoulder to get her attention only to connect with an Eat This (Spinning Wheel Kick) as she turned around. Amiee strikes her with several forearm smashes to the face before swinging her across the ring with a hair pull snap mare. Amiee angrily taunts Serena to get up as charges in for an If You Seek Amiee (Edge Spear). Serena points behind Amiee and shouts, “Look! It’s Alex Shelley!” Immediately, Amiee stops in her tracks and turns around. Quickly, The Cobra rolls her up in a schoolboy pin to steal the win from underneath Miss V’s nose.
After the decision, Amiee Vaughan doesn’t take this loss lightly as she tackles Serena Dent from behind as the duo catfight in the middle of the ring. Security and several referees from backstage has to separate them as both Divas claw away at each other.
[/li][li]Singles Match - "Sexiest of the Sexy" Maryse Ouellet vs. Tia Brooks
Maryse greets with Tia with a hand to her face before posing and flipping her hair for the fans. Tia rolls her eyes and poses on the top rope while she feeds off the cheers from the raging fans in attendance much like Maryse on the other side of the ring. Tia seems to be drawing slightly more cheers than Maryse so Maryse decides to get the pre-emptive strike, striking Tia from behind and power bombing her from the top rope.
Once more, Maryse takes center stage on posing for the audience in attendance before locking in a camel clutch to the grounded Tia Brooks. Tia bites tooth and nail against the hold before summoning from her reserves to lift Maryse up on her back and ram her spine into the nearest corner post. Maryse groans in pain before Tia continues the assault with series of slaps in the corner, ending with a spinning back fist. Maryse ducks out of the way at the last blow and counters with a French TKO. This only staggers the renown EWW Champion but Maryse plots to remedy that. Maryse whips her hair in preparation for a French Kiss and drives Tia’s head to the mat -- or so she thought… Tia has Maryse raised overhead in a T.I.A. (Reverse GTS) to counter. With Maryse grounded, Tia wastes no time to force her to submit after applying the Anaconda Vise.
[/li][li]Tag Team Match - Way of Damnation (Jack Clark & Evan Grey w/ Casey Duvalle) vs. Arturo Machida & Wade Barrett
Wade Barrett and Evan Grey start the match off. Grey charges in blindly only to receive a big boot to the face from Barrett. The crowd erupts into series “USA! USA! USA!” chants as Barrett covers his ears. Covering his ears leaves Barrett open to a knee lift from Grey, and allows Grey to follow up with a piledriver. To everyone’s surprise, Machinda climbs the top rope and hits his own partner with a diving moonsault before exiting the ring and up the entrance ramp, clearly abandoning his partner.
Evan Grey looks as confused as everyone else before tagging out to Jack Clark. Barrett stumbles to his feet and into the mercy of Jack who locks in a bear hug. Grey leaps from the top rope with a diving elbow to Barrett to seal the deal before Jack Clark pins Barrett to pick up the victory tonight for Way of Damnation.
[/li][li]Singles Match - "The Parental Warning" Dean Maddoxxx vs. Jaydan Gabriel
At the sound of the bell, both men lock up in the center of the ring, with Maddoxxx getting the upper hand by transitioning the hold into a side headlock. Jaydan takes control with a hammerlock and drives Maddoxxx to the mat with a modified backdrop using the hammerlock position to assist him in keeping his shoulders down to the mat. Maddoxxx kicks out after a count of 2. Jaydan attempts to follow up the offense but Maddoxxx kips up with an enzuigiri to the face. Maddoxxx follows up with a Russian Leg sweep and hooks the leg for another near-fall in this match up. Maddoxxx climbs the top rope for a Frog Splash but Jaydan Gabriel springs to his feet to knock him down with an European uppercut. Jaydan then takes control with a top rope variation of the Complete Shot as the Parental Warning crashes into the mat, face first.
Zap!
In an instant, the lights, and generally all the power failed in an instant, leaving the entirety of the arena in a general state of confusion. If not for the flashes of the numerous cameras all around the ring, it would’ve been pitch black in the building. Between flashes, Jaydan and the referee searched about perplexedly for the source of the problem, not that being in the ring would’ve helped them find it any sooner. Swiftly, a shadowy figure slid down what appeared to be a cable attached to the rafters, and dropped the last 5 feet to the ring behind Jaydan. The figure grabbed Jadyan, spun him around, much to his surprise, and blew a large cloud of smoke into his face. Immediately after, the small frame slipped out of the ring, over the barrier, and into the crowd. Jaydan was left swatting the air, coughing at the substance in the air.
By the time the lights came back on, Jaydan was flat on his back, out cold, the cloud had dissipated, and Dean had stirred from his stupor. Looking confused, Maddoxxx hesitates to act, but decides to apply his Final Warning (Ground Tazzmission) to the grounded Jaydan. With Jaydan unable to answer the 10 count, Dean Maddoxxx is named the winner to close tonight’s GZWA house show.
The question in everyone’s minds is who was the mysterious figure who assisted Dean Maddoxxx? Tune in next week to find out as GZWA will be live on it’s first ever GZWA Primetime weekly TV spot!
