Our first premiere show is up on time!! I gotta give myself a pat on the back for that one
Many thanks from those of you who have provided skits and have chatted with me about your characters. Those of you who I haven't worked with in the past, just give me a few weeks or so and I'll have your movesets down. Until then, matches aren't gonna be TOO deep. I'm just keeping things simple for now. In either case, I hope everyone enjoys the show
Sidenote: I know the roster page needs to be updated. That will be addressed after the weekend. I just have a lot going on getting this fed off the ground.
That being said, if you guys want to help with ANYTHING - from writing matches, doing graphics, etc. let me know as I'd appreciate it. One more thing, if everyone could expand their movesets would help me out a TON on match writing. You know, your 2 finishers and like 10-15 signature moves.
- Xion Zeros' Formal "Explanation"
The pyro goes off to welcome everyone to the premiere episode of GZWA Primetime and the commentary team of Francine Fournier, Trey "The Carter" Carter, and Xavier "Professor X" Cox sits at the announcing table.
Prof. X: "Thank you ladies and gentlemen for joining us on starting our debut here in GZWA right here on G4TV."
Francine: "It's good to be back on stable employment again..."
The Carter: "It's even better to have a shorty as fine as yourself joining us on commentary on Friday nights. What do you have planned after the show? Wanna go extreme?"
Francine: "I'm only going to get EXTREMELY far away from you when this broadcast is over. Keep your eyes in the sockets and do your job, boy."
The audience stands up and applauds to welcome the GZWA Owner as he makes his way down to the ring. Grabbing a microphone from ringside, he enters the ring but not before thanking and shaking the hands of several raging fans sitting in the front row.
Xion Zeros: "Welcome to the Premiere Episode of GZWA Primetime! I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for coming out and joining myself and the GZWA roster as we embark on a new journey here tonight.
Before the owner can continue, an irate woman with dangerously large curves and long, blonde ponytail storms down the entryway toward the ring. She is wearing a form-hugging, white cotton t-shirt underneath a pink leather crop jacket. Skin-tight black jeans cover her legs all the way down to impossibly high pink stilletto shoes.
In an effort to hide his surprise, the owner introduces the woman.
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you all to my girlfriend, the "Voluptuous Vixen" Justice!"
An evil glare from the woman as she continues toward the ring.
Xion Zeros: "I'm not going to BS this, so I'm going to go straight to the point. Almost a month ago, I shocked the wrestling world when I brought my last promotion, ZXWWF, to an end. I don't anyone to feel like that I'm betraying your trust by starting anew, but given the circumstances of the situation I was in, I had no choice but to toss a curve ball to get the heat off my back.
My lovely lady here became the Heavyweight Champion on two separate occassions under her own ability, yet I'm held at fault by my 'former' Board of Directors. I gave up some of my power in the company that I created and it still wasn't enough for them. So I did the one thing I knew no one would see coming. I destroyed my own work of art. Trust me, I'm the one who has to live with that pain. Closing my own company was like tearing off a limb. Sure, my underlings have created another promotion claiming to continue my 'legacy' but its not my work, not my art."
He takes Justice's hand into his own, looking into her eyes - almost pleading. With a swatting motion, Justice takes the microphone out of his hand.
If you are finished firmly applying your lips to my rear, I have a few questions to ask. I had desired to do this privately, but since you seem to never be around any other time, this is as good of a place to put your tallywhacker in a vice as any.
Baby, please, listen to me. I did what I thought what was right. Believe me it wasn't an overnight decision, as I had a lot of time to think about, but in the end, doing what I did was like cutting off a limb or pulling teeth.
Just how long have you been planning this? We were talking about a family! Remember? Buying a cute, little flat on the beach, our two children running around. What happened? What the bloody hell happened? How long have you been hiding this? How long have you gone behind my back? Is this why you needed to "relax, take a step back" from ZXWWF? I even promised my mum that I was finally done with all of this. Now you go and make me a liar to my own mother?
Justice stands, shaking with anger, waiting for a response.
"All that I ask you and all of these people is to trust me. You've done it once and I'm here to ask you to do that for me again. Tonight can mark the night that you, me, the entire GZWA roster, and everyone in this arena and watching at home around the world can all leave the past behind and start over."
Justice motions to speak but ZX cuts her off.
"You didn't lie to your mother. It is all over, there's no one looking over our shoulders anymore. We can live our lives however we see fit. I want to continue my dream, I'm not forcing you to get back into the ring again if you don't want to."
Justice drops her head as ZX takes the mic from her and addresses the audience once more. As he speaks, ZX wraps his arm around Justice's waist and she puts her head on his shoulder.
"Here, ladies and gentlemen, is where I shall start anew. Like the name says, I'm starting from ground zero with a new promotion. Sure, there are changes but one thing has not changed and that's my love for professional wrestling. Once again, I am throwing down the gauntlet and inviting the best in the world today to become part of Ground Zero Wrestling Assocation and pave the way for changing the face of professional wrestling."
Many people have been asking, what championships does GZWA offer? That is a simple question really. Over the next few weeks, I shall be scouting and observing the matches up to our first PPV in roughly a month whereas we shall decide our first GZWA Heavyweight Champion and GZWA Women's Champion. The GZWA roster need not worry, EVERYONE will get a fair shot at becoming the first ever champion. And don't worry, Justice. I won't make you part ways with your title."
What in the bloody blue blazes does that mean?
ZX merely smiles and leads a confused Voluptuous Vixen to the back so our first match can begin. - Open Challenge - Arturo Machida vs. "Shockingly Sexy" Statik
After the referee pats both of them down, Machida looks at the referee then to the audience, mouthing the words, "You can't be serious..." as the bell sounds to start the match. Statik makes the first move with a clothesline but Machida arm drags her to the mat. Statik kips up to her feet as Machida gives her sarcastic applause for her efforts.
Statik narrows her eyes but holds an arm up to encourage a lock-up. Machida is hesitant at first but locks up. He wrenches Statik's arm behind her into a hammerlock position only for Statik to trap her legs with his own - thus tripping him up and sending them both to the mat. Machida hits the mat, with his skull colliding on the canvas. This opening allows Statik to hook his leg for an early pin attempt.
A 2 count is answered before Machida knees Statik in the forehead to break the pin. Machida takes control of the match, holding Statik in a headlock before connecting with a knee lift to the face. He leapfrogs over her body as she holds her nose and springboards from the ropes with a springboard DDT. Machida hooks the leg of Statik... 1, 2.. Thr--- NO! Statik manages to get the shoulder up.
Machida argues with the referee about that being a three count as Statik is on all fours attempting to push herself off the mat. Noticing Statik reviving, Machida charges in with a shining wizard, but Statik counters with a drop toe hold that sends him face-first into the cornerpost. Statik then takes Machida's arms into a Mexican stretch position before perching herself on the top rope and leaping off and driving Machida's skull into the mat with a vicious curbstomp that she refers to as the Friction Burn.
Statik rolls Machida's body over and goes for the pin, only that Machida makes the move first as he captures her into a possum pin and steals the win from underneath her nose.
After the match, Machida helps her off the mat out of good sportsmanship and extends a hand. Statik slaps it away and gives him a kick to the groin instead before hitting him with a RKO-like neckbreaker to leave him out cold on the mat.
Statik stands over his body taunting him, "You just got shocked, baby!" - GZWA comes back from the break in ZX's office. He is typing on a laptop when his door bursts open. It's Stunray, who walks in like he owns the place. He walks straight up to Xion's desk and bends down to look him in the eyes.
Stunray: Where is Amiee?
ZX looks upset at Stunray. He stares straight into his eyes and speaks.
ZX: First of all, I don't know where the hell you came from buddy, but in my company you need to have a little bit more respect. People don't just barge into my door and demand answers from me.
Stunray shakes off his comment with one of his own.
Stunray: Well that is something you're going to have to get used to. I signed a contract 7 days ago to work for this company and I was promised Amiee Vaughan. Where is her locker room? I want to go talk to her about our "match".
Stunray lifts up his hands and curls his middle and pointer fingers as he says the last word. ZX knows that he doesn't want just a normal wrestling match with Amiee. He wants to ruin her wrestling career. ZX thinks for a second before speaking.
ZX: I have an idea. How about you get the hell out of my office?
The crowd cheers and Stunray stares at ZX in disbelief.
ZX: You got what you wanted Stunray. You have a match tonight and Amiee Vaughan is in the opposite corner.
Stunray's eyes glow with excitement. He's been waiting for this moment for 3 long years.
ZX: But it's not going to be how you want, Stunray. I know your plans for Amiee. I know you want to destroy her, but that isn't going to happen. Tonight you're going to do what I say.
Stunray: Oh yeah and why would I do that?
ZX: Because if you don't follow the rules tonight, I'll make sure you never get a title shot in the GZWA. Trust me my new found friend, I may be a nice guy now but just ask my former employees from ZXWWF how much of a bad guy I can be if you get on my bad side.
The look on Stunray's face turns foul. ZX had hit a nerve by threatening to take away the only thing other than Amiee that Stunray cared about at this time. ZX speaks again.
ZX: But, you do have your match. So if I were you, I'd get back to your locker room and lift some weights. How else are you going to work off the ring rust?
Stunray smiles a smile the Cheshire Cat would be proud of and leans in as close as he can to ZX.
Stunray: Don't worry about that. I won't need wrestling training to do what I'm going to do to her, Mr. Zeros
Stunray moves his head backwards before turning and exiting the room. ZX looks uncomfortable as the camera cuts away. - Singles Match - Gabriel Wingue vs. "Parental Warning" Dean Maddoxxx
Francine: I have to admit, I'm rather looking forward to this match up. These two Superstars had a feud in ZXWWF that was nothing short of legendary. I hope this is the start of the same here in GZWA.
The Carter: What I can do in the ring that is called my bedroom is referred to as 'legendary' too, you know...
Gabe and Maddoxxx shake hands in this reunion of sorts in GZWA. The bell rings to start the match, but neither Superstar makes a move. They each are studying the other, waiting to see who will be first to make a move. Gabe is first to make a move, charging in but baseball sliding between the Parental Warning's legs to get behind him. Maddoxxx greets him with an European Uppercut and follows up with a Half Nelson Suplex.
Gabe quickly shakes off the cobwebs and kips up to his feet, catching the approaching Maddoxxx with an enzuigiri. Gabe quickly follows up with a dropkick that sends Maddoxxx reeling into the ropes whereas he stumbles forward on the rebound into an exploder (think T-Bone) Suplex from Gabe. Gabe then springboards from the ropes with a spiral leg drop to the grounded Maddoxxx before hooking his leg for a pin attempt.
And just at that moment, a shadowy figure, dressed strikingly similar to a popular ninja, hopped the security barrier.

1…2… The lithe little Kunoichi grabbed the ref and yanked him out of the ring, shoving him back first into the very same barricade she jumped over. Gabriel had noticed the commotion, considering he had the match all but won, and shouted threateningly at the figure. The little ninja girl didn’t back down an inch, rather she held up a hand in front of her face toward Gabriel, two fingers of which were capped by rough, thimble like devices. The mask over her face deformed slightly, into a faint threatening smile for just a moment, then…
Snap… bringing her fingers together sparked the air, and… in that moment, she exhaled a liquid through that mask, which, flamed hard in to a rather large fireball, directly into Gabriel’s face.
The Carter: "Hey, someone better tell Ibuki that GZWA doesn't allow Ultra combo finishes in these matches. Save that shit for EVO 2011!"
Again, Maddoxxx is conflicted on why this stranger is helping him of all people, but takes advantage of the blinded Gabriel by hitting the Holy Toledo (Swinging Sidewalk Slam). Once again, Maddoxxx picks up the victory by pinfall as this unknown assistant disappears once more. - Fully Alive plays over the P.A. and the crowd erupts in mostly mixed reactions. KBZ emerges from behind the curtains, slowly clapping, an unamused look, a microphone in one hand. She signals to cut her music off then raises the microphone just slightly in front of her mouth.
KBZ: We have a great match up ahead of us! in one corner is ZXWWF Legend, The Showstoppin' Senorita, who's used just about every single minute of free time to complain about this and that...and in the other corner you the promising young upstart, pint sized attitude, known as K-B-Z, Karen Beth Zurich and GZWA's own resident Kare Bear.
Crowd starts chanting for Mariah, Karen just lowers the microphone to her side and rolls her eyes. Takes a moment to stare at the crowd before raising the mic back up to her mouth.
KBZ: I know you knows are had so much cheap beer and diarrhea food from concessions that you don't really know what's going on, but Mariah is not out here, she's back in there, waiting for her signal so she can come out and can go on and on about how I ruined her Mania moment. Last week I was robbed of a victory and a chance to jump start my career here in GZWA by toppling over these iconic women, and yet all people wanna talk about is how I dressed up in a burka and headdress for weeks, tormented Lise, and made their precious Mariah look bad at Mania.
Starts heading down the ramp being showered with boos. She tosses the mic over the ropes and into the ring, She leaps onto the apron and then enters the ring over the middle rope. She picks up the mic and stands firmly in the middle of the ring.
KBZ: Lise was a bitch who talked way too much and finally got burned, and Mariah has made a career by toppling over people, yet I'm the bad girl? So be it, if you want me to be bad, I'll...be bad.
She drops the mic and then boots Zoey Valentine in the gut before hitting a quick Love Struck knocking her out. She stares toward the stage waiting for Mariah. - Singles Match - "Showstoppin' Senorita" Mariah vs. Karen Beth Zurich
Mariah stands at the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand and her other on her hips.
Mariah: "Great to see you're more than able to make fun of Lisey when we both know she's not scheduled to be here this week. And wow, I've made a career on toppling people? Funny, I've heard the story differently on my end, Kare-Bear. Everyone who was crazy enough to stand in my way got what was coming to them. Don't hate on me, KBZ. It's a common fact that everyone who thinks that they could come close to extingushing my fire will ALWAYS get burned.
¿Usted sabe lo que, perra, cómo sobre las carnes asadas su asno ahora!? He tenido bastante de este hablar maldito. <You know what, bitch, how about roast your ass right now!? I've had enough of this damn talking.>
Mariah drops the microphone on the ramp and slides into the ring as KBZ stomps at her body as the referee rings the bell to officially start the match.
KBZ doesn't allow Mariah to get a vertical base as she continues to stomp away at the Showstoppin' Senorita. Just as Mariah thought KBZ was done on the offensive, KBZ connects with a Heart Throbber (charging Fame-Kisser) to Mariah while she was still down on all fours.
KBZ motions for a cover but shakes her head as she has more devious plans in mind. KBZ slides out of the ring and pulls a steel chair from underneath the ring apron. The referee attempts to take it away from her but KBZ shoves the referee to the ground before sliding the steel chair underneath Mariah's chin. KBZ then climbs the top rope and leaps off with Diving Foot Stomp. A sickening thud is heard as the steel impacts on the mat... as KBZ has hit nothing.
Mariah kips up to her feet with a Float-Over DDT to the now shocked KBZ as finally the tables have turned. Mariah slides the chair from out of the ring and then hits the ropes, connecting with a handspring splash to the grounded KBZ. Mariah then stands outside on the ring apron, stalking for KBZ to stand as she slingshots herself into the ring with a hurracanrana. Mariah lands on KBZ's shoulders and leans back but she's driven to the mat instead as KBZ counters with a kneeling powerbomb with Mariah's shoulders pinned to the mat.
The referee slides into position and makes the 3 count to name KBZ the winner tonight but doesn't see that KBZ was holding onto Mariah's tights to keep her grounded. After KBZ's arm is raised and named the winner, Mariah argues with the referee while KBZ makes her escape up the entrance ramp, grinning from ear to ear. - Tia is in the GZWA locker room looking in the mirror finishing her last make-up touch ups. All of a sudden, Maryse walks up and bumps Tia out of the way of the mirror.
"Excuse me, I believe I was here first!"
Maryse looked at Tia with a innocent look,like she haven't done anything.Taking a glance at the mirror she fixed her hair as she turned back to look at Tia.
"Don't yell darling,you'll get a lot of wrinkles.And why should I care that you were here first,huh?You were,and you're not.So now move and don't bother me."
Tia cocked her head back and put her hands on her hips with a surprised look on her face.
"Wow, bring that confidence to our bikini contest tonight. You should have used it in our match at the house show."
Tia smirks after saying her little comment to Maryse.Maryse grinned lightly as she crossed her arms across her chest and looked at Tia.You could see that she was as calm as ever.
"So you got lucky....Congrats.Don't think that one win gives you an upper hand tonight.Not only that I am physically more valuable and simply better,I also have natural beauty,which makes me the better women.And as I see,your plastic surgeon didn't do a good job,you still look disgustingly ugly."
Tia rolls her eyes at Maryse.
"Well, I see it took days for your hair dresser to put together that jungle of a weave. Anyways, I am not worried at all about tonight. Besides, I have way more poses then a over used hair whip."
Maryse started laughing as she couldn't stop herself.After a moment she wiped the tears away from her eyes as she looked at the mirror to see if her makeup was still okay.She turned back to Tia as she took a deep breath to calm herself down.
"Hun,you are not only stupid,but also blind.This hair is 100% real.And if you wear wigs and weaves,don't think everyone else does.Speaking about your poses...I saw them in the ring and...Well,standing on the ring post is really not over used."
Maryse rolled her eyes as she flipped her hair back. Tia picks up her EWW Legends Championship that was on the chair behind her.
"I know a weave when I see one. And the stuff I did for the house show is nothing like what I am gonna do in my amazing bikini I am wearing underneath this robe. Also, I still have a championship unlike somebody. You just bring your A game."
Tia walks to the door with a swagger of confidence in her step. She then looks over her shoulder at Maryse.
"Good Luck, Hun!"
Tia walks out the door laughing. - Sizzling Summer Bikini Contest - "Sexiest of the Sexy" Maryse Ouellet w/ Gabriel Wingue vs. Tia Brooks
The Carter: (rubbing his hands anxiously) "Well it's time for the moment I've been waiting for all night."
Francine: "Shouldn't they give you a bib and a few napkins? I mean, really, there's going to be mess to clean up after you're done out there."
The Carter: "Don't hate that you don't get to judge this. Don't feel left out, Franny. I'd still drink your bathwater and theirs too."
Francine looks completely grossed out as Carter climbs into the ring.
The Carter: "Without further adieu, let's get this party started as it's finally the moment that we've all been waiting for, GZWA's first ever Bikini Contest, hosted by yours truly, The Carter, and judged by our live audience in attendance here tonight.
Ladies, don't be shy c'mon down and join us in the ring."
Both Maryse Ouellet and Tia Brooks each come down to the ring seperately with a robe covering their bikini underneath. Gabriel Wingue accompanies Maryse Ouellet to the ring but chooses to stand at ringside for the contest while he still rubs an icepack over his face from the "fireball" attack either tonight.
The Carter: "Ladies, the rules are simple. You simply unrobe for our fans and the woman who receives the loudest cheers wins. Tia, since you won at last week's house show, I think it would be appropriate if you go first."
Tia Brooks nods in agreement before moving to the center of the ring and removing her robe slowly. It drops slowly at her feet as she poses provacatively as she smiles at the camera.
The crowd cheers loudly in response at the former EWW Champion's choice of swimwear.
The Carter: "Dayum, that was good. I'm burning up over here. Maryse, you're up next. That's a tough act to follow!"
Maryse sticks her hand in Tia Brooks' face before taking centerstage. She invites Gabe to come closer at ringside as she takes an ice cube from his icepack and rubs it slowly over her body after revealing her bikini underneath her robe.
Gabe's eyes widen a bit as the crowd cheers loudly once more.
The Carter: (toweling himself off) "Whew, that was a close contest, but I think we know who the winner is tonight. The winner is.... MARYSE!!"
Maryse leans against the ropes and does her signature hairflip as she enjoys her victory. Tia Brooks doesn't take this lightly as she tackles her to the ground from behind. Gabriel Wingue slides into the ring and separates the two Divas in a gentlemanly fashion. Covering Maryse up with a towel, Gabe escorts her backstage while Tia Brooks glares at Maryse from the ring. - Intergender Tag Team Match - Jaydan Gabriel & "Miss V" Amiee Vaughan vs. Stunray & "The Cobra" Serena Dent
As soon as the bell starts to start the match, Stunray makes a dash towards the corner for Amiee Vaughan but the referee stops him in his tracks to remind him that this match is under mixed tag team rules so the women must only fight each other and vice versa with the men. Stunray curses underneath his breath and goes back to his corner while Serena Dent takes his place in the ring.
Amiee Vaughan breathes a sigh of relief before she's struck with a slap across the face by The Cobra. Amiee holds her face as Serena whips her into the corner. Serena licks her palm before slapping Amiee across the chest, causing a rather loud smack as Jaydan Gabriel and the audience cringes at the impact. The sting of the blow lights a fire in Miss V as she shoves Serena back a few feet before advancing with an Eat This (Spinning Heel Kick). Serena ducks the blow before hooking Amiee into position for the Heroin Injection (Kiss followed by a Twist of Fate). Amiee powers out wildly by stomping on Serena's feet and punching her in the abdomen until she was able to counter with a Northern Lights Suplex with a bridging pin.
Stunray is quick to act to break the pin and get his hands on Amiee Vaughan but Jaydan stops him in his tracks with a jumping knee smash. Serena Dent still manages to kick out before the referee's hand comes down at the count of 2. Stunray is still crawling towards Amiee as Serena kicks out and she instantly slides out of the ring in fear. That doesn't stop Serena Dent from following her to the outside with a suicide dive that knocks Miss V into the ringside barricade. Jaydan Gabriel immediately rushes over to check on her. Amiee snaps back to life as Stunray leaps off the top rope with a double axe handle and slides back into the ring. Stunray misses his target and hits Jaydan instead.
Serena is already waiting for Amiee as she whips her into the corner once more. Serena closes the gap with a handspring to back elbow strike. Serena charges in with a shoulder thrust but Amiee counters with a flapjack, sending Serena's face into the top buckle. Serena turns around and into a DDT from Amiee before she stalks her in preparation for If You Seek Amiee (Running Spear).
Stunray trips her up from ringside, causing Amiee to freeze in place. Jaydan makes a heroic save, smashing Stunray's forehead into the ring post as Amiee sighs with relief. Amiee turns around to put her focus back on Serena, who is charging her now. Amiee leapfrogs over the spear attempt as Serena hits the brakes in the corner. Amiee rolls her up with a schoolboy pin from behind, catching her by surprise while Stunray and Jaydan still brawl at ringside. Amiee Vaughan picks up the victory tonight in GZWA's main event.
Primetime ends tonight with the image of Serena Dent and Stunray staring daggers down at Jaydan Gabriel and Amiee Vaughan as they celebrate their win up the entrance ramp.
