AJ Styles is shown backstage sitting on an equipment carrier talking to someone on the phone. He's facing away from the camera when the cameraman approaches him, interrupting his phone call.
Cameraman: AJ, what are your thoughts on your upcoming tables match with Carnage?
AJ lowers the phone from his ear and without a word, disconnects the call. Then, he turns around with a serious look on his face as he seems slightly irritated by the question. His expression immediately changes, however, as a smile spreads across his face as he looks at the camera confidently.
AJ Styles: So, you and everyone else have the same question. What are my thoughts on this upcoming match between Carnage and The Phenomenal One?
AJ gets up off the equipment carrier, stands up and looks right into the camera. There are no signs of fear in his eyes as he looks directly into the lens, seemingly talking directly to Carnage.
AJ Styles: Carnage, you think that you look into my eyes and see fear. What you think is fear, is my blood boiling as I remember the sound that steel chair made as it bounced off my skull, and the feeling that I couldn't shake for hours after I left the arena.
AJ grabs the camera and pulls it closer to his face. His eyes shine with passion and intensity, as his voice reflects the anger he feels.
AJ Styles: Carnage, you think I'm a boy in a man's world, don't you? You think that I'm just some redneck with an anger problem? Is that what you think? Well, let me remind you that I am "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and because you don't seem to care what that means, I'm just going to show you exactly what that means in our little match.
AJ steps away from the camera as he continues.
AJ Styles: So, you'd better bring everything that you've got, Carnage. But I'm warning you that this time, I'm ready for whatever cheap shots you've got planned, and I hope that you continue to underestimate me. Because the moment after I beat you, when your ass is lying in the wreckage of what used to be a table, that's the moment that you will realize what everyone else who has stepped between those ropes with me already knows.
AJ turns his back to the camera and starts walking away, but he only takes a few steps before turning back around.
AJ Styles: So, if you don't learn what that is after what I put you through in that ring this week, then I'm just gonna continue to beat your ass until you do!
