PROGRAMMING INFORMATION
Television - Back in July 2010, GZWA used their contacts from the closure of Xion Zeros’ previous wrestling company to air a regularly scheduled television on the new FXX satellite television channel. Primetime, the company’s flagship program airs every other Monday.
Pay-Per-View - The company made its debut on PPV with the event “First Encounter” with quarterly PPVs roughly 3-4 times a year. In the absence of a quarterly PPVs, GZWA occasionally holds “supershow” Primetime specials, notably for the Stardom Tag Team Classic and the Reina de Reinas Tournament.
Streaming - Back in 2014, GZWA announced their purchase of the Elite Wrestling Network. The service featured GZWA’s entire back catalog, as well as ReAction aftershow programs and network-exclusive events. The service also features the archive catalogs to ZXWWF, Ring of Beauty, Blazing Sin Wrestling, and New York Wrestling Alliance. The current cost is $7.99 per month.
COMPANY BACKSTORY
As backstory, the owner of this fictional company is Xion Zeros. He recently closed down his former promotion to attempt a fresh start elsewhere. GZWA is the battlefield where wrestlers from the past, present, and future collide to decide who is the best in the world today.
GZWA has one flagship show, Primetime, that is held twice a month, with an aftershow, billed as ReAction, following every Primetime event and PPV. Members are expected to roleplay for BOTH of the shows as they appear on:
The current active GZWA roster can be found here.
CHAMPIONSHIPS
To date, GZWA has five Championships that competitors can work towards obtaining throughout their illustrious careers as part of the roster.
GZWA World Heavyweight Championship is the top singles title of this company and the biggest prize to obtain on the roster. It is open to men and women.
GZWA Tag Team Championship is the top prize for all tag teams. Much like the World title, it is open to men and women.
GZWA Television Championship was established to showcase the up and coming talent on the GZWA roster as this title is defended on every Primetime broadcast. Much like the World title, it is open to men and women as well.
Note: It is currently inactive and vacated.
GZWA Women’s Championship (formerly Vixen’s Championship) is the top prize for the women in GZWA can aspire for.
GZWA Queen of Queens Championship is awarded to the winner of the Reina de Reinas annual all-female tournament, but the entrants from the previous tournament can challenge the champion until the sequential Reina de Reinas tournament. If the reigning champion manages to defend the title six times in a row, she is allowed to challenge the current reigning Vixen Champion whoever that should be at the time.
