According to the source, while CM Punk's contract negotiations are being promoted, and open to the public, they were having a closed door private session yesterday afternoon before RAW. It's currently unknown what, if any, progress was made. McMahon has been keeping the negoiations under wraps, and not even the writing staff or agents have been informed of the decision that was reached. An insider with the WWE had this to say:
“Vince is keeping this only within the inner circle, and the negotiation may not even be over yet.”

How many people want to bet that this situation, AKA the most overrated thing in wrestling in the last few years, is going to be Montreal Screwjob 2.0? Then they do the kayfabe firing and bring him back like Bryan Danielson, everyone screams "Hallelujah!" and CM Punk gets a main event run for a while then back in mid-card hell, sharing the same locker rooms with Kofi, Danielson, and Evan Bourne.
Don't get me wrong, I like CM Punk, but the sheer amount of people jumping on the CM Punk bandwagon just b/c of this ONE moment of a dude who deserves the label of "Human Highlight Reel" to describe his entire career (NOT just WWE either) than that other wrestler of the same nickname, is just mindblowing. And people say John Cena marks are bad. No, this one storyline alone has proved that to be false. I wouldn't be surprised if people shoot Cena on Sunday.

One of two things are going to happen on Sunday:
1) Cena wins (big surprise but my guess as I think they are goin got go the old-school NWA route and let Cena have the title until Wrestlemania and the Rock)
2) Punk wins and whatever clown wins the MITB match cashes in then and there. Probably Miz or del Rio.
